The Alpha’s Nanny (Lori and Gabriel) novel Chapter 129

Chapter 129

Gabriel barged into Elliot’s apartment, breaking the door in the process. Elliot jumped up from the sofa he was sitting.

Startled and surprised.

He looked at Gabriel and his now broken door.

“What’s going on?!”

He asked.

Did they have another intruder? Was someone trying to get them?

“Elliot…”

Gabriel’s voice was surprisingly calm. But he was raging underneath his cool exterior.

“Yes?”

“I’m going to ask you some questions. And I need you to answer them completely honestly. Or else… we will have problems.”

He said.

During that moment, Draco ran into the room too, he had tried to catch up with Gabriel as fast as he could. Just so Gabriel wouldn’t cause a scene.

He met the door broken and managed to close it a little, to give them some privacy. Gabriel and Elliot were having a stare down.

The tension in the room was thick enough to suffocate. Elliot looked nervous, his eyes darting around, his hand slightly shaky.

“Elliot… is Lyle alive?”

He asked and Elliot visibly paled.

For Gabriel to ask him, he knew… and for him to know… something had gone terribly wrong.

He no longer needed to lie, or had a use for it. If he didn’t come clean… he could face even worse punishment.

“Yes.”

Elliot choked out as he collapsed on the nearest sofa. He ran his hands through his hair, his hands shaking with fear. Gabriel would kill him. Rightfully so too, because he shouldn’t have kept such a news from his alpha.

Draco’s jaw dropped, his hands reaching out to his phone in his back pocket, if Lyfe was alive, he had to make a few calls.

Scratch that, he had to make a lot of calls, he thought as he disappeared into a corridor, leaving Gabriel and Elliot to face off.

Gabriel sighed, a deep deep sigh. His expression gave away nothing and the only thing that showed his discomfort was his clenched fists.

“How long have you known?”

Chapter 129

He asked and Elliot sighed.

“For a long time.”

“And you kept it from me?!”

Elliot shook his head.

“Not intentionally… Lyle told me he wasn’t going to cause trouble… he told me that he didn’t want revenge… he just wanted to live a normal life..”

“And you believed that?!”

Gabriel asked as he scoffed.

“What did you want me to do? He’s my brother!”

He exclaimed.

Gabriel didn’t even flinch at his raised tone.

“What did you tell him?! What did you tell him

about us? Does he know where we live?!”

“Nothing! I didn’t tell him anything!”

Elliot exclaimed.

Gabriel listened to his heartbeat… he wasn’t lying. But he still didn’t believe him.

“Draco.”

Gabriel called and Draco hurried out of the corridor where he was in the middle of a call.

“Yes?!”

He asked eagerly and Gabriel pointed to Elliot.

“Draco, make sure that you personally escort Elliot to DC.”

“Inform his mother that he’s now placed on mandatory house arrest. He cannot leave the house or go anywhere.. until I say so….”

Elliot stood up from the sofa, his eyes rimmed red and his heart beating loudly in his chest, Gabriel could hear it, how loud his chest was. Was he scared or anxious? He couldn’t tell, Elliot was giving too much emotions for him to read.

“That’s bullshit!!!”

Gabriel gave him a pointed look at his raised voice, Elliot’s stance faltered a little and his arms slacked.

He didn’t want to go. He couldn’t make him go. He had left DC for a reason, he couldn’t stand his mother.

Chapter 129

He liked the freedom that came with him being with Gabriel. He wasn’t just going to drop everything and leave.

“You can’t just put me on house arrest.”

“I can and I will.”

Gabriel voice was low and deadly. Final.

Elliot shook his head vehemently.

“I won’t. I won’t go.”

Gabriel scoffed, he folded his arms and glared at him.

“Would you rather denounce yourself as a member of my pack then?”

The silence that followed after his question was deadly, even Draco paused, he wanted to interfere but he couldn’t, as much as he would love to. Not until

Gabriel had cooled down.

Gabriel’s anger was deadly. That quiet rage that could quickly turn destructive and brutal in the blink of an eye. The less he interfered the better.
