Chapter 131
It was late.
It was late and her neck was hurting from sitting still so long.
But she had to because she was waiting for Gabriel.
Draco had gone looking for Elliot. Confident that he would find him before Gabriel got back from where he went.
Grace had left after staying with her for a while.
Some men of his had come around the penthouse, warning Lori to keep the door shut.
She didn’t have any problem with their instructions. She wasn’t even in the mood to see anyone else but Gabriel.
It had been nearly six hours. She had eaten, bathed the baby and put her to bed but Gabriel was still not home.
She called his cell, no answer, but she had decided that even if it would take all night waiting then she would be awake all night.
The sky was beautiful in the night, the city lights looked lovely so she had placed her rocking chair in front of the view to watch.
Shortly after… she heard the click of the door.
Nobody else could get in but Gabriel, so she knew it was him.
She waited patiently for him to come to the room, but she heard him in the kitchen, the tap water running.
After what seemed to be moments later he finally opened the door to their room and then shortly the lights came on.
‘You’re still awake…”
He said as he looked at her and she nodded.
‘I was waiting for you.”
She said as she stood up from the bed and walked towards him.
She was wearing nothing but a flimsy nightgown, not by choice, since she hadn’t done laundry in a while and it was all she had that was decent enough to
wear to sleep.
Gabriel started shrugging off his shoes.
“Where were you?’ ‘
She asked and he sighed.
‘You told me I could kill Asher if I wanted to… well… I needed to blow off some steam and I found the perfect outlet.”
Lori froze.

He… he was out killing?!
‘He’s dead.

It came out as more of a question, so Gabriel nodded.
He stopped midway from removing his socks and looked up at her, a smile forming on his perfect face.
‘Don’t worry… I let him know that it was you.”
Lori smiled, still in mild shock from his statement.
Asher. So he was really gone?
Just like that?
“If you want to see his body… that can be arranged…”
Lori shook her head, quickly refusing.
“No. I don’t..”
Gabriel nodded and started taking off his watch to put on the nightstand.
“Thank you.”
Lori sobbed as she threw her hands over his neck and hugged him.
Gabriel hugged her back, tightly.
She was all that he needed. All he ever wanted. For her, he would kill, kill and kill again.
“You don’t have to thank me… I would gladly do it again..”
“It gave me a lot of satisfaction killing him… knowing that he would never even come close enough to hurt you again… it made me very happy.”
He said as he stroked her hair.
Lori broke the hug and stared at Gabriel. He was perfect, so perfect and handsome that he made her heart swell. She couldn’t look at him without something stirring in her… without him awakening the deepest parts of her that she had thought dead.
He made her feel so alive… she had never felt this way with anyone.
Not one.
No one came close and she feared that no one would ever come close.
And then.
It hit her.

Just like someone had threw a brick on her head,
She loved this man.
She was in love with him.
“What’s wrong…”
Gabriel asked gently as he touched her face, pushing away strands of her hair and tucking it behind her ear.
