Lori asked eagerly as she looked around. They were at the penthouse. Without Emilia the place looked cold, it looked like no one had lived in it for a while.

Lori and Gabriel had been talking for the last one hour. She had recounted everything that had happened to her and his anger had grown considerably with

When she saw him she had felt the bond again. That mating pull, for the first time in a while but it felt weak… not as strong or as stable as that night when

they had mated.

Even her powers. Although the bracelet had stopped the growing of her wings Lori felt strange…almost as if someone had put a damp blanket on her mind. It was a very disturbing feeling… she felt cut off and she couldn’t explain why.

She could take off the bracelet, but growing wings was another issue she wasn’t ready to deal with at the moment.

She was going to see Emilia soon, she couldn’t deal with that at the moment.

“We’ll find him. And we’ll get him back. I can promise you that.”

He assured and Lori nodded, but a small part of her was skeptical. It was normal for him to make promises and assure her that he would find her son. But

would he really?

Sabine wasn’t equally as powerful as Gabriel… but she was very sly and she had managed to evade Gabriel for so long.

She had managed to even get to her. Clearly hiding herself from Gabriel wouldn’t be too hard of a task.
