The Alpha’s Nanny (Lori and Gabriel) novel Chapter 193

Chapter 193

982

Like a wave of pleasure rushing through her, making her body quiver and shake so hard that she racked clean off the bed, fingers tangled in Gabriels silky

hair, pulling hard…

She could have sworn it was magic… that nothing natural could make her feel that way… it certainly did feel like magic.

Like she was being born anew.

Gabriel licked her through her every ripple and when the climax eased, when the sensation was all over.. he lifted his head.

He met her stare from between her thighs, panting against her bare skin, his eyes a vivid blue.

Her eyes blurred with tears at the sight of him.

“I love you.”

He gently whispered in between pants.

Lori nodded her head, tears streaming down her face as she repeated the words in her head, knowing somehow that he would hear it loud and clear in his since her mouth was too weak to talk.

I love you too.

Vara had been looking for Lyle for a while. She didn’t think it was a possible feat. In fact, she had little hope of finding him. She had checked all his regular spots, even the places she didn’t think he’d be. At a point she had wanted to give up, because it didn’t make sense to her anymore.

Why should she even be the one to be looking for him?! She was supposed to be by her alpha’s side. Like any good beta should. She was second in command. errands like this weren’t the kinds of errands she should be running.

She found him through pure luck. She was at the bar where they had once gone to get a drink. Before they had even thought of kidnapping Lori. And she had revisited the bar with little hopes to find him. She didn’t even remember the bar until she was walking across the street in frustration and saw the sign.

Then she decided to have a quick drink. She wasn’t particularly looking for anything when she had gone into the bar. Just a strong drink perhaps.

After a gin and a tonic, she decided to leave.

She was planning on how to go back to her hotel and restrategize. She had also given herself a week. If she didn’t find Lyle in seven days she was going to call Sabine and tell her to take her off the mission and find someone else.

Sabine couldn’t make her search for him forever. It would expose her. To Gabriel and his wolves. To fall into his hands would be a fate worse than death.

Because she’d rather really die than endure that sort of torture.

She had gone to the bathroom and was about to leave when she spotted Lyle and his brother Elliot from afar. She hid back quickly, knowing her scent alone could give her away if he caught a whiff of her.

Luckily, he looked too preoccupied with his brother. He also looked nervous, jittery. A gym bag on his shoulder.

Chapter 193

Was he on his way out of the city?

He was foolish to still be in the city. And to still be talking to his brother. Perhaps he had forgotten all the years he spent in hiding, or he thought too little

about what Gabriel would do to him when he found him.

Vara looked around. There were people around, she would be stupid to make her move now.

One shot of her gun would cause chaos, scattering everybody.

She could also unfortunately lose him since the streets were so busy. He would disappear into the crowd and she wouldn’t find him again.

Knowing Lyle, that might be the only cue he needs to run.

They didn’t stay long. Lyle stormed out of the bar while his brother followed suit. Vara gave them a few distances before rushing after them.

He was her kill. She wasn’t missing this target.

Lori woke up in a fit of sweats. The gunshot still reverberating in her head. It was real. The dream felt real. She looked at her hands and almost cried in

relief when she didn’t see blood on them.

Gabriel stirred at sat up, sensing her distress.

“What’s wrong?!”

He asked as he held her bare shoulder.
