Chapter 66
“I’d consider that when you stop lazing around all day.”
Elliot shrugged.
“Come on! We both know that’s not why you dislike me. We both know!”
Gabriel sighed. He pinched his nose in frustration.
“I don’t dislike you Elliot. I really don’t. I just find your nonchalant attitude thoroughly annoying.”
“Will you stop pestering me and let me go in now?”
He asked as he pointed to the door and Elliot moved.

“I won’t say a word. Don’t worry.”
Well. That was a relief. He would find a way to hide Lori, knowing his grandfather the old man would show up in a few days unannounced and he had to
find the least suspicious way to get Lori out of the house.
“I actually like Lori. She’s growing on me.”
Elliot claimed and Gabriel paused.
He turned to his cousin and raised a finger to warn him.
“Yea, don’t get too close to her. I know what you’re trying to do and if you try it best believe I’m kicking you out of my house.”
His voice was low, dangerous and the slight fear in Elliot’s eyes told him that his warning was duly received.
Elliot shrugged. He wasn’t about to get in Gabriel’s way. He never planned to. He just liked Lori’s company.
Lori was in the nursery, slightly dozing off on the couch with the breast pump equipments out. Emilia was sleeping after Lori had given her something for
her fever. She knew that the doctor said she had a ear infection, but Lori didn’t find it funny that the baby was having at least one case of really high fever
in a week. They had been to the doctor twice, maybe it was time she suggested another pediatrician to Gabriel.
It wasn’t like she knew any doctors but they would be better, certainly more better than Dr Calloway who always looked like she was giving Lori the side
eye.
There wa a slight knock on the door before Gabriel came in.
He had been doing that ever since he walked in on Lori breastfeeding the baby, tying his possible best to be cautious so he wouldn’t run into the same
problems again.
“Hey! You’re back.”
She said as she sat upright, putting away the pump. Gabriel noticed the empty bags and the beast pump and looked away.
Lori was looking better than before, less tired, more vigor. She looked beautiful. She was wearing a tank top and shorts. Her dressing has always been really relaxed and laid back in the house, but Gabriel suspected she had changed just so she could pump milk.

35%.
She was wearing no bra under the tank top and he was desperately trying to keep his eyes from wandering any further down. She didn’t even realize the
effect that she was having on him.
Gabriel nodded, smiling at her slightly.
“I am. How are you?”
Lori nodded, her heart racing as she glanced at him.
“I’m fine. Good day. Emilia had another fever through.”
She said and Gabriel sighed as he looked into the crib where his daughter was sleeping.
“Did you give her the medicine?”
Lori nodded.
“I did. It went down after that but I was thinking we should probably take her to the doctor, especially since this seems to be a recurrent issue.”
Gabriel sighed.
“We can take her for a checkup today or tomorrow. I’ll talk to Dr Calloway.”
Lori sighed.
