"Do you mind." The woman snorted in annoyance.
Otto didn’t realize how long he had been staring until she had snapped at him.
"My apologies." He said quickly regaining his senses. "I thought you were someone else."
He couldn’t help it.
Here he was in a city thousands of miles away from anywhere he had last been and a random woman looked familiar.
She had unusually short dark hair that was at her shoulder and the edges tucked behind her ear.
Her lashes were long and she had smallish lips.
She wasn’t like the regular woman you met.
In fact she seemed like someone who looked like trouble.
Perhaps in her late twenty summers?
Her cold dark eyes told a different tale and yet she looked so fucking familiar.
She seemed ready to snap at him further until her eyes went to the bundle at his chest, and those eyes of hers softened.
"You would think that with a child you would be more careful how you move around." She chastised but gently.
And then all of a sudden the strangest thing happened.
The material where her breasts rested on became damp.
At the exact spot where her two nipples would be.
She became red and Otto not realizing his eyes were steady locked on her nipples, received a dirty slap that sent his head backward.
"You fucking bastard." She hissed and she was gone in a matter of seconds.
Otto simply stared unsure of what the fuck has just happened.
He just stood there for a couple of seconds until he realized people were looking at him.
He adjusted his bag and walked into the crowd.
The last thing he needed right now was any sort of attention.
A short while after, Otto found himself an Inn.
He was in a small room with warm water brought in by one of the servants and was now giving the baby a bath.
Cleaning baby poo in the first few weeks had been hell and now he had gotten used to it.
After cleaning up the baby and feeding him some milk, baby Apollo was fast asleep.
Otto had to admit that he was in fact doing a good job at this.
Better than he had expected to do.
Perhaps if he didn’t hear any information from Eleanor, he could stay and raise Apollo himself.
He was getting terribly fond of the boy even though he had highly disliked children.
Always wanted them far away from him and yet this one was growing on him
But who blamed the baby anyways.
Already headed for a tragic start.
Jasmine’s dead had hit him because he had never expected it.
Had never known such kindness from anyone like her.
Treated him like a wolf with feelings. Never cared he was rabid.
She was like a light in the darkness of the world.
And just as corrupt and cruel the world was it had taken her away.
The one good it had.
Gone from the surface of the earth.
Just like that.
He didn’t know anyone who would have gone through the hell she had and still had a good heart.
He watched as the little blonde boy was fast asleep.
