The Apocalypse Survival Manual (Three Days Before Doomsday, I Stockpiled Billions) novel Chapter 446

Chapter 446

If materials were lacking, people were told to go find them. If they couldn’t, they were expected to salvage what they could from the ruins.

The government released a detailed plan, more than 30 pages long, listing every type of material, how many points each one earned, and how the value changed depending on condition.

It went on and on. You could read for days and still not finish.

The community center near Oakhaven Gardens had collapsed. The staff had moved with the main group and would gradually relocate to Pinewood. Residents were told to go to the city hall for more information.

Alex listened to the broadcast, his brow tightening.

Isaac grew uneasy. “Alex, what are you thinking?”

The new district would be built in Pinewood, about 30 miles away. Once the government and military pulled out, the old city would effectively be abandoned.

Even in ruins, plenty of structures remained. Sooner or later, they would fall into the hands of gangs and violent

groups.

No matter how united Oakhaven Gardens was, it wouldn’t be enough. They would likely end up as either food or unwilling accomplices.

Survival was already difficult. Settling safely in the new district felt even harder.

“If we want to live, we follow the government.”

It wouldn’t be easy, but it was safer than staying behind.

“But we don’t have anything,” Isaac pressed. “How do we earn points? Even if we qualify, what do we trade?”

“Don’t worry. We’ll go to the city hall tomorrow and find out.”

As long as they stayed together, there had to be a way.

Even with temperatures down, the daytime sun was still harsh. They set out at 5 a.m.

The earthquake had buried most of the usable resources, and very little had been recovered. Conditions were worse than before.

With the government relocating refugees, there was less left for gangs to exploit.

So going out meant risk.

Alex carried a knife. He also filled his pockets with handfuls of sand.

Even so, neither of them relaxed. They scanned their surroundings, staying alert.

The city that had once been full of life was now hollowed out. The dead were gone, and the rest had either fled or been relocated.

Dust hung in the air. Broken walls and empty streets stretched in every direction.

They didn’t see a single person.

Isaac shivered. “If the government leaves, we could all end up dead in Oakhaven Gardens, and no one would ever

1/2

know.”

The fact that Oakhaven Gardens hadn’t collapsed was both luck and misfortune. Once official protection disappeared, it would be taken.

Losing their homes would be the least of it. Survival itself would be uncertain.

Alex felt the same unease. “Let’s get the information first. Then we decide.”
