After living with Zeph for so long, Nicole knew guns well enough to recognize at a glance that the one in the boy's hand was fake.

Even if it only fired rubber bullets, though, a shot to Beatrice's temple could still seriously injure or kill her.

Beatrice wasn't intimidated. She suddenly knocked the gun aside and drove her fist into his stomach. She moved so fast that Vince didn't have time to react before he doubled over and dropped to the ground.

The two groups immediately started fighting.

Jeremy and Hughie were both injured, and Diana's arm still hadn't healed, leaving Beatrice and Poppy to do most of the fighting.

Humiliated and furious, Vince pulled another gun from his pocket and aimed it at Beatrice's head.

Nicole's expression changed. This one was real.

Nicole walked over, pinned him down with one foot, and struck him across the head with the butt of her gun. Her voice turned cold.

"You really think you can do whatever you want, don't you?"

His lackeys froze. Then one of them snapped, "You've got some nerve! Do you even know who he is?"

"I don't care who he is." Nicole gave them a cold look. "If his parents never taught him how to act, someone else will."

She raised her gun slightly. "Anyone else want a bullet?"

They were furious, but none of them dared move with a gun pointed at them.

The moment Poppy saw Nicole, the tension finally left her face. "Nicole!"

Nicole looked at her. "What happened?"

Poppy's face flushed with anger, but she hesitated and didn't answer.

Beatrice spoke up instead. "That little punk won't leave Poppy alone. He keeps making disgusting comments at her, and now he wants to drag her back to Glenmere with him."
