The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 100

Chapter 100 Ambush in Army Headquarters

Thora’s POV:

The two men exchanged a quick look.

One of them walked ahead of me and led me to a black SUV parked under the shade of a tree.

The car had no markings, but the wheels carried a tiny wolf head pattern, the special mark of the armies.

The other man stayed by my sports car. He grabbed his phone and barked into it, “Come tow this thing. And don’t you dare scratch it! You couldn’t afford to compensate for that, got it?!”

His fury was loud and clear. Obviously, he was still upset that I threatened him earlier.

I smirked and got in the SUV.

The moment I sat down, a hand reached over and tied a black cloth over my eyes.

I didn’t fight it but quietly leaned back in the seat and let the engine start.

The ride was smooth. No checkpoints. No stops.

I didn’t try to memorize the route, but I still felt everything-the bump of a speed strip, the tilt of the turns. A map quietly formed in my mind.

It was instinct. Something built into my bones.

When I heard gunshots in the distance, mixed with soldiers shouting during training, I knew we had reached the army headquarters.

“Ms. Green, get out.”

As expected, the car steadily rolled to a stop.

The door opened. Someone reached in, trying to drag me forward.

But the second his fingers touched my sleeve, I twisted my hand, grabbed his wrist, and pressed. A sharp crack followed.

“Ouch!” He let out a muffled cry.

“You walk ahead,” I said coldly. “I’ll follow. I don’t like being treated like a criminal.”

“Fine, but Ms. Green, you better watch yourself. If you stumble or hit something, don’t blame us for not warning you!”

With that, they marched forward, their steps fast and heavy. They didn’t slow down for me, who was blindfolded.

They were hoping I’d trip and fall to get back at me for dislocating that guy’s wrist.

Too bad. They were going to be disappointed.

I couldn’t see, but my ears and other senses were sharp.

Every step they took, every turn, even the faint rustle when they glanced back, I caught them all.

The floor under my shoes changed from smooth concrete to rough gravel. The hallway echoes faded, replaced by the sound of wind sweeping across a wide space.

My guess? We had reached an outdoor training field.

We walked for about five more minutes before their steps paused for a moment.

I could feel their curious stares on me, probably wondering why I hadn’t tripped once.

Then, their footsteps faded.

They must have left.

I frowned and pulled the black cloth off my eyes.

The moment I opened them, a flash of cold light sliced straight toward my face.

My brow tightened. My body moved before my mind did, leaning back fast. The blade skimmed past the tip of my nose.

Before he could pull back, I twisted and struck the back of his neck with a sharp chop. I moved so fast he couldn’t react. That man stumbled forward, almost falling flat on his face, and the blade clattered on the ground.

I barely had my balance when a dark shadow lunged at me along with a fierce gust of wind.

I dodged to the side. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw his body twist and expand. Gray wolf fur grew across his skin. In seconds, a nearly seven-foot wolf towered over me, claws shining like metal. That special forces soldier had transformed into a werewolf in full combat form.

That werewolf clearly didn’t plan to hold back. It spun and swung the wolf tail toward my ribs. I bent low, dodging it. As my fingers brushed the stiff fur on the side, I hooked its front leg and twisted it hard.

In the struggle, I drove my knee into the werewolf’s belly and slammed my fist down with everything I had.

With a heavy thud, the giant werewolf flew several feet before hitting the ground. It shifted back into human form the moment he landed, curled up on the floor holding his stomach, coughing hard. When he looked up at me, his eyes were filled with shock.

I glanced down at my fist, stunned for a second.

This body felt stronger when I fought the Greywolf mercenaries.

Before I could think more, a tiny red dot appeared on my chest.

A laser sight.
