The Apocalyptic Queen’s Werewolf Journey

Chapter 102 Runaway Trouble

Third-person POV:

Thora wasn’t someone who fussed over small things, but she hated being disrespected.

Being pushed again and again and treated like a guinea pig didn’t sit well with anyone.

Her words landed hard. Hugo’s expression tightened.

For the first time in his life, a general like him was being scolded by a junior.

And if what Thora said was true, if she had shot one of his men, then things were already past the point of

no return.

“If it ever gets to that point, I’ll take full responsibility,” Hugo said in a low voice. “I didn’t think this through.”

He had only wanted to see her real reaction in person. Hugo never expected her to be carrying a hidden weapon, much less to see her fight back with such sharp precision and cold calm.

To put it simply, he underestimated her.

He shouldn’t have let his guard down just because she hadn’t awakened her wolf spirit yet. After all, she was the rare talent he had his eye on.

Hugo’s honesty earned back a little favor in Thora’s heart.

At least this man didn’t ignore his mistakes just because he stood at the top. He took responsibility for the consequences he created.

“Ms. Green, my apologies,” Hugo said, steady and respectful. His voice held the natural authority of someone used to command. “But special situations call for special measures. I value talent, and that’s why I went to such lengths.”

Thora wasn’t someone who pushed when she already had the upper hand. She smiled and introduced herself.

“Silverleaf Pack. Thora Green.”

Hugo’s eyes shone with even stronger admiration. Calm. Confident. Neither afraid of him nor eager to attack. Firm when needed, generous when she chose to be. Bold. Capable,

People like her were born to stand out.

“Ms. Green, please come with me,” Hugo said. “We can’t stand and talk here forever.”

Thora nodded and followed him.

She also wanted to know why Hugo had gone this far for her. What exactly was he trying to do?

At the same time, a sleek black car pulled out of the Military Maximum-Security Prison.

A wolf-head crest-the symbol of the Astralis Empire’s Congress-shone on the hood, marking the car owner’s authority.

Oliver drove while glancing at the rearview mirror, checking on Shirley in the back seat.

“Shirley, the rule banning you from carrying a gun is gone this time. But if you mess up again, they’ll drag you back. Even your dad won’t be able to save you when that happens. Got it?”

Oliver sighed. He was only twenty, but he felt like he was raising Shirley as his own daughter. Honestly, if he really had a daughter like her, he’d probably lose his mind.

Shirley smiled sweetly. “Don’t worry, Oliver.”

“Yeah, right. Talking to you is pointless. I know exactly what kind of girl you are.” He waved her off, too tired to keep lecturing.

A dark glint passed through Shirley’s eyes. Then, just as the car began to slow down, she suddenly flipped herself out of the door.

“Bye, Oliver! Tell my dad I ran away from home! Thanks!” She waved cheerfully as she fell away from the

car.

Oliver slammed the brakes so hard the car jolted. He never expected her to pull a stunt like that.

“Shirley!” he yelled as he jumped out.

But disappearing was what Shirley did best. She was already gone without a trace.

“That girl is going to be the end of me!” Oliver kicked the car tire in frustration.
