The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 109

Chapter 109 The Hero Returns

Third-person POV:

Astralis College opened for the new semester today.

Finished

But everyone still remembered the day the campus was invaded. It was the only thing people talked about as soon as they stepped through the gates.

What they remembered most wasn’t the danger. It was the moment a girl walked out holding a gun. Thora.

The girl everyone used to call trash. The girl they once looked down on had saved every single person that day.

So what if she was mixed-blood? So what if she hadn’t awakened her wolf spirit? She still shone so bright it made everyone feel small.

People whispered about her in private, but no one dared to talk about it openly. It was as if they had agreed to pretend she had never shown up that day.

Right after the attack, the military took over the campus. Malcolm gathered all the students and warned them, his face serious. “No one can spread anything about Thora. If the attackers or the people behind them find out, they might target her.”

So, no one dared brag about what they saw. They only talked about it with people who already knew.

Everyone understood that sometimes, witnesses become targets too.

But one thing they all shared was simple: every single one of them admired Thora.

So when Thora stepped onto campus, the students who saw her lit up with excitement. They nodded to her with deep respect.

Everyone has dreamed of being a hero. Thora had become theirs-gender, age, and bloodline didn’t matter at all.

“Thora!”

A few boys hurried over. They were the rich kids who had fought beside her that day.

“I’m glad you’re all okay,” Thora said with a smile..

The boys were touched. They straightened their backs. “We were all worried about you! We’re really glad you’re safe!”

“Yeah! We hope we can fight beside you again someday!”/

The more they spoke, the more excited they became. “Thora, join the army with us! Let’s go to the military academy together! We’ll follow all your orders!”

They were standing in the middle of a school hallway, surrounded by students in uniforms, but the energy felt more like a training ground,

The boys stood tall, like they were ready to salute.

“You’ll follow all my orders?” Thora raised an eyebrow, a faint teasing smile on her lips.

Randy stepped forward. His eyes were steady and sincere. “It’s our promise. And it’s how we repay what you did for us that day. Besides, we believe in you.”

Just like what they did during the attack, full trust.

Thora bit her dry lip lightly, then smiled. She didn’t answer. Instead, she reminded them, “If you don’t head to class now, you’ll be late.”

And right then, the bell rang.

The boys gave a not-so-perfect salute, waved, and jogged away. “Thora! Remember what we said!” One of them shouted.

“Thora, I’m heading to class too.” Felix, who walked to school with her, gave a quick goodbye and went to his classroom.

Only Thora and Shirley were left walking toward Class F.

Shirley was tiny, following behind Thora, who was a whole head taller, she looked like a little invisible tail.

When they walked into Class F, Thora froze.

The classroom, usually loud and chaotic, was shockingly quiet. Everyone sat straight like perfect students.

What made it even harder for her to handle was the way everyone stared. Their eyes were bright and glued to her; even their breathing seemed to soften.

There was no hostility, but somehow it felt like they might jump on her out of excitement.

Her gaze swept across the room and landed on Harvey, Ashton, and Luke. Even they were staring at her.

Thora gave them a small nod. The three of them slowly broke into wide smiles.

“What are you staring at?!” Shirley suddenly stepped forward, hands on her hips. “Even if you stare at Thora all day, she won’t be yours! Stare again and I’ll punch you right in the head!”

Her tiny, cute act made the whole class burst into laughter.

“Hahaha! Are you sure it’s not your tiny fists hitting my chest?”

“Come on, come here, hit me!”

Shirley bared her teeth at them, her eyes saying loud and clear. Laugh again and I’ll actually hit you.

Thora chuckled and rubbed her head. Shirley instantly softened, leaning into her hand like a happy kitten.

Everyone stared in surprise. Just a moment ago she was fierce and fiery. How did she become so soft and gentle the second Thora petted her?

Luke, who knew Shirley’s secret, raised an eyebrow. He didn’t expect his boss to calm down this little
