The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 121

Chapter 121 Die-Hard Fans

Third-person POV:

When Thora walked into the house, she found Shirley sitting on the couch watching TV.

“Thora, you’re back!” Shirley spun around, her eyes sparkling.

Thora asked in confusion, “Aren’t you going home?”

Shirley looked even more confused. “Why would I go home?”

“Aren’t you going to tell your family? About joining the military?”

Shirley pouted, acting like it didn’t matter. “No need. Hugo will tell my dad for sure. Besides, I don’t want to go home. If my dad gets mad and tries to hit me, I might lose control and stab him again. Then I’ll get arrested all over again.”

Thora blinked, stunned for a second. Then she raised a brow. “How many times have you stabbed your dad?”

Shirley casually held up five fingers. “Just five times. But I was scared of getting punished, so I held back. It was only some scratches. He healed up in no time.”

Thora’s voice held a hint of teasing. “Should I be grateful you’ve never tried stabbing me?”

Shirley smiled instantly, her eyes curving. “Of course not. I’d never hurt you.”

Thora went on, “Your dad really loves you too.”

Shirley shrugged, her tone vague. “Maybe.”

Thora lifted a brow.

No wonder Luke had warned her that Shirley was dangerous and far too aggressive.

If she could stab her dad, there was probably nothing she wouldn’t dare to do.

Still, for now, Shirley seemed able to control her temper. And honestly, she looked like her aggression was slowly fading.

To keep Shirley from going home and causing trouble the moment she walked through the door, Thora dropped the topic. Instead, she turned to another task, uncovering the truth about how Diane died years ago after being attacked by rogues.

Harvey had sent out two groups to dig up answers: one from the underground world and another from official upper-circle contacts.

Now, both witness accounts and physical evidence had finally surfaced. They were enough to confirm who

caused this accident.

But uncovering the key witness-someone hidden deep within the underground network-had taken great

effort.

What bothered Thora was something else; the official investigation had suddenly hit a wall.

Surveillance footage had been altered. The real video was missing. All direct evidence was gone. And the person in charge of the case had disappeared completely.

Thora scanned through every document at high speed, her fingers tapping lightly against the desk.

Just then, her phone buzzed. It was a text from Felix.

After reading it, she replied with only two words, “Got it.”

A cold smile curved her lips. She was about to cast her net. But it looked like the fish had decided to jump in

on its own.

Ever since Thora stopped going to school, Felix had had to walk there alone.

He felt a little sad and a bit frustrated. Still, he quietly added more weight to the ankle bands he wore. Felix pushed himself even harder during after-school training.

Something inside him kept pushing him forward. He wanted to grow fast, fast enough to catch up with the others.

Even though he felt lonely for now, he believed that one day he would stand proudly right beside Thora.

That morning, Felix had just stepped out of the house when a few boys called out to him.

It was Memphis, Randy, and the other kids who were close to him.

“Felix, where’s Thora? Haven’t seen her for days!” Memphis asked, full of curiosity.

Randy jumped in, “Yeah! We were planning to take her out for lunch!”

Another boy added, “I wanted her to help me with my shooting practice, but I haven’t seen her around lately.”

The last boy waved his hand and said with a dreamy look, “I’m different from you guys. I want to be family with Thora!”

The moment he said that, everyone groaned in disgust.

Even Felix rolled his eyes and said, “Give it up. Thora only has one little brother, and that’s me. Got it?”

The boys slung their arms around each other’s shoulders and exchanged looks. Seeing how protective Felix was of Thora, they couldn’t help but curl their lips.

Felix hadn’t acted like this toward anyone before, but honestly, if any of them had someone as strong and cool as Thora in their lives, they might become even bigger fans than Felix.

“Felix, seriously. Tell us, where did Thora go?” They refused to give up and kept pressing him.

“Yeah,” another said, “we haven’t seen her for days. We miss her, you know.”
