The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 120

Chapter 120 Give Me Money, Mate

Third-person POV:

Finished

Thora wanted to understand Darius’s true purpose. All the things he had done for her, none of them made sense on the surface.

Darius helped her. He gave her what she needed the most. He even saved her life. Those were facts she couldn’t deny.

But she never believed anyone would go that far for someone they barely knew.

Not unless that person had something they wanted.

People acted for one reason-benefit. That was the real force behind every decision in this world.

Yet what confused her was that she didn’t feel any greed or scheming coming from Darius. There was no hidden trap. No disgust. No calculation.

So she genuinely wanted to know, why was he doing all this?

Darius smiled. He leaned in a little closer to her. “If I say it out loud now, it ruins the fun. Why don’t you find the answer yourself?”

He knew Thora well. She was cautious by nature and believed everything should be an equal trade.

To her, everything he did must look like an exchange of resources.

And right now wasn’t the time. If he confessed what he truly felt, she would turn off and pull away.

But three years was a long time. Plenty of time for her to see him differently, maybe even like him back. And when that day came, he could finally tell her the truth.

Thora’s eyes slowly soften, and Darius holds back the joyful grin threatening to appear.

Thora raised her hand in front of him, palm up, like she was asking for something.

Darius was confused. “What is it?”

“Your card. It’s a joint property for mates,” she said plainly.

Since she had accepted their bond, she had the right to use his resources for the next three years.

And she needed a lot to train her team, set up the Wolffang Unit, and upgrade equipment-everything needed money.

Her savings alone wouldn’t last long.

But to Darius, her words meant something much simpler. His mate wants money.

He couldn’t help but chuckle. He pulled out his card from his wallet and placed it in her hand. “Use it however you want.”

Thora took the card without a second thought. She stood up and walked out of Darius’s office without even looking at him.

When she reached the door, something suddenly came to mind. She stopped. “Darius, I heard your company’s research division has the best resources on the whole planet.”

Darius raised a brow, surprised she brought it up. “You could say that.”

“I want to use it.” Thora demanded straightforwardly.

“Anytime you need,” Darius replied with a small smile.

Thora lifted a brow, not expecting him to agree so quickly. Then she opened the door and left.

She didn’t look at him once the whole time.

Still, compared to when she entered, full of anger and ready to see blood, she left much calmer.

Darius took one long step and sat in the chair Thora had just used. He couldn’t hide the smile on his face at all.

Ever since he met Thora, he felt like the muscles in his face had gotten a lot more exercise.

When Carl walked in and saw his alpha sitting there grinning like a fool, he froze. Did Ms. Green do something to him? How did Alpha turn into a fool?

After leaving Skybound Tower, Thora drove straight back to her small villa.

On the road, she finally realized something. Her whole purpose had been thrown off by Darius.
