Chapter 123 A Father Jealousy
Third-person POV:
On the other side of town.
Norman had barely stepped into the headquarters when his superior called him in for a meeting.

He thought it was something routine. But the moment he sat down, his superior told him that Thora had been accepted into the Wolffang Unit.
No other details. No explanation.
When he heard the news, Norman froze, his mind going blank. He sat there for a long time, stunned.
Thora? In the military?
And not just anywhere, she had entered the newest elite special forces team?
Norman couldn’t believe it. He didn’t want to believe it. He asked again and again.
But every answer only made his heart sink further.
He wanted to snap, “Why does Thora get to join?” But the officer outranked him and clearly had the authority to keep the higher-ups’ decisions secret. Norman couldn’t get a single extra word out of him.
He simply couldn’t understand why Thora had been chosen.
A mixed-blood who hadn’t awakened a wolf spirit and couldn’t even handle a gun properly, how could she possibly qualify for a special recruitment?
He didn’t know the exact requirements of the Wolffang Unit, but he did know one thing: they only recruited the best of the best.
Even I didn’t qualify. How could Thora make the cut?
But the officer simply told him calmly, “Sorry, Colonel. This is a direct order from above. We’re only required to notify you. From now on, all of Ms. Green’s actions and identity fall under the Empire’s Level-4S classified system. Please cooperate.”
Just like that, every question Norman had was shut down.
On the way home, he was still in a daze.
If they were a normal father and daughter, he would’ve been proud. He would’ve been happy to see her rising so high.
But now? Now they were like fire and ice, ready to clash at any moment.
He couldn’t feel any happiness at all.
The stronger Thora grew, the greater the threat she became. A part of him feared she might one day turn against him.

Chapter 123 A Father Jealousy
What he hated most was admitting the truth he felt deep inside-he was jealous.
Finished
He was a seasoned soldier, but he didn’t qualify for the Wolffang Unit. But his daughter had been specially recruited.
Norman couldn’t compare to his daughter.
Norman walked into the house with a dark expression and called Felix into the study right away.
“Felix, do you know where Thora has been going lately?”
Felix’s voice was calm and cold. “Ever since she moved out, I barely see her. How would I know where she goes?”
Norman lifted his gaze and stared at Felix, sharp and probing. “Then do you feel like she’s been different recently?”
Felix tensed slightly. Did his father already know that Thora was recruited into the military? Would he use his connections to crush her?
He kept his tone casual. “She just talks less than before. Nothing else has really changed.”
Norman stared at him for a long time, trying to decide whether he was lying.
But the boy in front of him looked steady and calm, showing no sign of hiding anything.
It was then that Norman suddenly realized something-Felix had changed.
He used to be quiet at home, sure, but he didn’t carry this cold, guarded look. His boy had grown up overnight, losing the softness of a fifteen-year-old.
“From now on, stay away from Thora. I don’t want her leading you down the wrong path,” Norman ordered. “You’re my only son. One day you’ll join the army, earn your medals, and bring glory back to our family and the pack. You can’t hang around with the wrong people.”
Felix’s face went cold. He stared at Norman, lips pressed tight, saying nothing.
“What kind of look is that?” Norman snapped.
Felix’s voice was icy. “I don’t want to hear you say anything bad about Thora.”
“Watch your mouth!” Norman roared.
“Enough!” Norman slammed back. “From this day on, there’s no Thora in this family! You don’t have a sister named Thora! Hazel is your only sister. Do you hear me?”
Felix’s eyes narrowed, and he said coldly, “I have training. I have to go now.”
Without waiting for permission, he walked out of the study.
Norman glared at Felix’s back, anger burning in his eyes.
