The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 124

Chapter 124 Welcome to Wolffang Base

Third-person POV:

Two days later, Sector Six, Wolffang Base.

Finistiert

Unlike other military bases, Wolffang felt hidden and mysterious. It was hard to find and even harder to understand.

When the four recruits-Shirley, Harvey, Luke, and Ashton-stepped out of the armored truck in their combat boots and camo uniforms, their eyes lit up.

In the distance, the base looked like a giant metal egg hidden deep in the forest. Its silver shell shone under

the sun.

The four of them seemed to shed their student-like energy. They stood straighter, looking more like real soldiers.

A spark lit inside them, filling them with pride.

Ashton asked excitedly, “When’s the boss coming?”

“She’ll join us once she finishes dealing with her stuff,” Luke said, calmly adjusting his glasses.

Harvey nodded and leaned over to ruffle Shirley’s hair, just to tease her. “Boss will be back soon.”

Shirley slapped his hand away with an annoyed huff.

Hugo stepped forward and placed his palm on the scanner. The massive door slowly opened.

A deep rumble echoed through the air, like a sleeping beast waking up. Everyone’s heart tightened a little.

Hugo raised his voice. “From this moment on, you are members of the Wolffang Unit! Fall in!”

The four exchanged glances, then marched inside with firm steps.

Except for Shirley, the rest of them were visibly nervous.

Watching their backs, Hugo grew curious.

Could Thora and these new recruits truly blend with the seasoned elites already inside the unit?

Could Thora take full command of this base?

He knew how much hardship it took for a new special forces unit to rise and grow.

How long would it take for Wolffang to become an unstoppable force?

The thought filled him with both anticipation and excitement.

Inside Wolffang Base, someone was already waiting.

Chapter 124 Welcome to Wolffang Base

On the training field, five men in camouflage uniforms sat around casually.

No one here wore any rank. Maybe they once had ranks, but in this place, everyone started from zero.

Still, none of them looked discouraged. In fact, they seemed excited, almost eager for what was coming.

One man, about twenty years old, sat on a large tire. His sharp features and cold eyes made him look dangerous. He was tall and strong, and he cleaned his handgun with calm, practiced movements.

Everyone in the army knew him. Anyone who had seen him fight understood he was one of the deadliest men around. In just a short time, he had naturally become the anchor for the older soldiers.

Before today, none of them knew who their teammates would be. They didn’t know what kind of people would join them.

They were curious but ready to judge.

Each of them was a top fighter in their field. The only way to earn their respect was strength.

Footsteps broke the quiet of the training field.

All five men lifted their heads. Their eyes locked onto the group approaching them.

When they finally saw the four newcomers, their expressions changed instantly.

These four weren’t soldiers at all. They looked only sixteen or seventeen-practically kids. One of them was even a petite girl who barely reached five-foot-three.

The older members were stunned.

The Wolffang Unit was supposed to select the best of the best. Why would they bring in a bunch of teenagers?

Their gazes turned sharp, open, and openly doubtful. They stared so hard it felt like their eyes could cut through skin.

Even the man who had been cleaning his gun looked up, his expression cold and unreadable.

Luke remained expressionless, as if he didn’t sense the pressure at all.

Shirley narrowed her eyes. Their judgmental stares irritated her. Her whole aura shifted, turning icy and fierce.

Ashton and Harvey had spent years in underground fighting rings. They weren’t scared of this kind of challenge. They stared right back without blinking.

Sharp gazes crossed the open field, bursting with silent sparks.

What felt strange to the older members was that these four teenagers-who didn’t look like soldiers-stood together with a surprising sense of unity.

And even stranger, the one who seemed the most dangerous wasn’t the tall boy. It was the petite girl.
