In a crisp formation, they stood resolutely before Thora, the air thick with anticipation.
The fierce glint in their eyes flickered, losing some of its intensity.

A confident smile graced Thora’s lips as she clasped her hands behind her back, her keen gaze sweeping over each member of the group. Each word she uttered fell like a hammer on an anvil, resonating with authority. “I understand that many of you believe the recruits from special selection are merely a bunch of empty boasts. But let me assure you, raw, unrefined steel has a way of surprising even the most seasoned of veterans. It is imbued with a vast reservoir of potential just waiting to be tapped. Under my guidance, there will be no room for losers!”
Her penetrating gaze shifted from Harvey and his crew, lingering momentarily, before landing on Tristan, Aaron, and the rest of the unit. “And yes, I mean every single one of you!”
A subtle shift occurred in their expressions, though the shadow of doubt still loomed large.
After all, who would ever believe that a mere sixteen-year-old could wield command over an elite unit like Wolffang?
Thora’s voice rose, slicing through the air with determination. “Starting tomorrow, the Wolffang Unit will embark on rigorous, standardized training! I will be training alongside you and will personally craft the syllabus. Fail to meet the standards I set, and I won’t hesitate to file transfer orders. You’ll be out, just like that!”
“Wolffang only retains the strong!”
Her eyes locked onto theirs, her voice sharp and unwavering. “Remember this well. I am the sole commander of Wolffang. I hold all the authority.”
“Disobey an order, and that constitutes a breach of military law. Understood?!”
“Got it!”
The response erupted across the training field like a clap of thunder, reverberating in the stillness.
No superfluous words were needed. They could harbor resentment, but compliance was non-negotiable.
A soldier’s duty was to follow orders without question.
Her prowess had been demonstrated time and again on the battlefield, in the heat of combat.
No doubt could withstand the weight of what they had just witnessed.
Tristan’s gaze remained fixed on Thora, a fire of focus and resolve burning within him.
Thora’s knowing smile stretched wider, a hint of pride in her demeanor. “Dismissed.”
With that, she turned, lifting her chin defiantly toward the surveillance camera perched on the slope, a cold snort escaping her lips as she strode purposefully into the base.
In the monitoring room, Hugo couldn’t suppress the grin that spread across his face. He wasted no time in issuing orders. “Project team, I want real-time data tracking on every operator. Report anything out of the ordinary to Dr. Hovland immediately.”
The “Dr. Hovland” he referred to was none other than Yereah.
Thanks to his exceptional surgical expertise, the Astralis Empire had designated him as the special-grade military doctor for the Wolffang project team.

The team snapped to attention, voices unified in response. “Yes, sir!”
Yereah shoved his hands deep into the pockets of his coat, his eyes glued to Thora on the screen. A whirlwind of excitement and bewilderment danced across his features.
