Chapter 157 End Your Streak
From the moment she walked in, Thora felt people watching her. Instinctively, she glanced toward the second floor.
There was more than one gaze tracking her, but one felt strangely familiar.
“Sir, if you’re going to sit at this table, you need to put up enough chips. Otherwise, you don’t have the right to be here.” A middle-aged man at the gambling table kindly reminded her.
Thora looked back at them.
“Money?” Thora’s lips curved as she snapped her fingers.
Harvey immediately lifted a bag from behind her and started dumping cash onto the gambling table.
Stacks of bills tumbled out onto the table.
Everyone watching gasped audibly.
That cash had to be at least ten million. Some rich werewolf kid was clearly out blowing their family fortune.
Shirley smiled sweetly at everyone seated there. “So, guys, is our money enough?”
Shirley already looked like a delicate doll, and when she smiled like that, quite a few people couldn’t help but smile along.
The others at the table nodded one after another. “More than enough, more than enough.”
They’d literally dumped the cash right out. How could it not be enough?
Cash only at the gambling table. Those were the rules.
Thora’s money was partly from her previous winnings and partly from what she’d withdrawn using the car Darius had given her.
She had to admit, this was when she truly appreciated that what Darius had said back then was right.
Having that mate bond with him really was convenient.
Now that the money was on the table, everyone continued with a new round of gambling.
At first, nobody thought much of this young guy, especially with his sweet girlfriend in tow. They all figure he was an easy mark.
But they never expected that from the moment he sat down, he hadn’t lost a single hand.
Harvey and Tristan exchanged glances.
At the rate the boss was raking in money, they could probably live comfortably for the next few decades. Just thinking about it made them happy.
Chapter 167 End Your Streak
Meanwhile, in a luxury VIP room on the third floor, a handsome man stood before the panoramic windows.
He wore a silver suit and elegantly held a cigar.
He was none other than the Alpha of the Ironblade Pack, the current head of the Ciphers, Dorian.
“How many rounds has that young man won now?” he asked.
“Alpha, he’s won five in a row.” The Beta standing beside Dorian replied respectfully.
“Have we looked into him?” Dorian let out a slow ring of smoke.
“He doesn’t appear to be one of our expected guests. We already have pack members monitoring all the people sent by those forces. We’ve also closed the Sky Casino to outsiders for today. We’re just waiting for your command, Alpha, and we’ll clear everyone out immediately.”
Dorian nodded, his fingers holding the cigar as he lightly tapped ash into the ashtray beside him. His gaze stayed fixed on the young man in the white suit at the gambling table below.
His lips curved coldly with a bloodthirsty edge. “No rush. Let them play around for a bit first. It’s more interesting that way.”
“Yes, Alpha.
“Also, keep an eye on this person. My instincts tell me… this young man isn’t just here to gamble.”
“Yes, Alpha.”
Thora held two poker cards in her hand, her gaze flicking upward for a brief moment before quickly returning.
Her expression turned cold.
It looked like quite a few people had their eyes on her.
Unsurprisingly, this round ended with everyone losing their money to Thora again.
Losing repeatedly had dampened several people’s spirits, and a few of the more sensible ones waved their hands and quit.
