The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 186

Chapter 186 That’s the Best I Can Do for You

Finished

Lance slipped aside to dodge Thora’s shot and said provokingly, “Ash, you’re way too greedy. A year ago, you told me my life was yours, didn’t you?”

As expected, the moment he said that, Darius’s face turned dark instantly.

“You can only pick one of us. Are you choosing him or me?” Lance pressed.

Thora turned the gear on her gun and said coldly, “You die, he lives.”

The moment she finished, the bullet was already flying.

Lance’s eyes narrowed, and he pushed his gravity ability through his fingertips, dropping the bullet straight to the floor.

Right then, Tristan, Harvey, and the others, disguised as waiters, opened fire in support.

“Boss!” Sharkie, Alissa, and the rest also appeared at Lance’s side.

Sensing the Mirage Corsairs members watching them from all around, Lance gave a direct order. “Take care of the extra trouble first.”

“Got it, Boss!” They shot a quick look at Thora’s group and vanished at once.

Lance disappeared in the smoke a second later.

Thora also gave her order. “Clear out the thieves first.”

“On it!” Harvey and Ashton immediately moved to take out the infiltrating thieves.

Both Thora and Lance chose to handle the others first out of an unspoken understanding.

They knew very well the ‘ifference between a rival and an enemy.

“Thora!”

Felix, attending the banquet in Evren’s place, finally saw a chance to run toward her.

But the moment he sprinted over, Frost, hidden in the dark, locked onto him.

As a gunshot cracked, Felix cried out and collapsed to the ground.

Carl rushed forward and lifted him up. “Mr. Green!”

“Felix!” Thora called out anxiously.

She strode toward Felix while giving a cold command, “Shirley, twelve o’clock. Finish him.”

Shirley angled her sniper rifle in the direction Thora named, swapped the barrel, and loaded an armor- piercing explosive round.

A wrist-thick bullet fired out in an instant.

Boom!

The top of a distant building erupted in a contained explosion.

The blast sounded loud, but the range was tight.

Frost was blown off his perch and crawled out of the smoke, cursing under his breath, “Damn it … ”

“This hits just right.” Shirley nodded, satisfied.

If she weren’t afraid of Thora scolding her, she would have fired a few more just for fun.

“Felix!” Thora reached him quickly and checked his injuries.

When Felix saw her, he ignored his pain completely and beamed. “Thora!”

He had been hit by a silver bullet. He had avoided a fatal spot, but without emergency treatment within 24 hours, he would bleed out.

“Dominic, Aaron, get him inside and stop the bleeding,” Thora ordered.

“Alright, Boss.” They lifted Felix at once and carried him into the hotel

Felix didn’t want to go but had no choice. He just stared back at Thora the whole way

By now, the banquet hall had turned into a full battlefield.

Darius frowned and glanced behind.

His back was already a mess of burned flesh.

When he had blocked Thora with his body earlier, the blast from the rocket had scorched straight through him.

But he had been faci

ward the whole time, so no one had noticed.

Seeing Thora switch to a machine gun and mow down the remaining Mirage Corsairs, Darius smirked slightly. He gave Carl a look, then closed his eyes and let himself fall.

“Mr. Blackwood!” Carl rushed to catch him.

Hearing Carl’s voice, Thora looked over just in time to see the brutal burn marks across Darius’s back.

Her expression shifted. She immediately recalled the moment the rocket exploded earlier.

She had been closest to the blast point. If Darius hadn’t shielded her, she would have been the one injured.

“Boss, are you okay? Are you hurt?” Tristan stood guard beside her, not joining Harvey and the others in pushing back the thieves.

Thora didn’t answer him. She walked straight to Darius.

Carl kept fussing loudly. “Mr. Blackwood, how did you get hurt this badly? Your back is almost cooked! Why
