The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 187

Chapter 187 Bonus Prize

At that moment, Darius’s Phantom unit arrived as well.

The thieves received orders and withdrew at once.

However, not long after they left the hotel, their path was blocked by another group.

Lance stepped out in combat gear, with Greywolf members behind him.

Each of them was wrapped in a thick smell of blood, their eyes still burning with the urge to kill.

“Greywolf,” the leader of the thieves said in a deep voice, fear hidden in his tone.

Lance stopped, his long legs planted on the ground. He swept his eyes across the ragged group before him, his voice cold and dangerous. “I really hate it when someone interferes while I am carrying out a mission, you know?”

Moonlight outlined his sharp features, casting heavy shadows across half his face.

“Especially sewer rats like you.”

The moment Lance finished speaking, the Greywolf members behind him charged like beasts released from cages, and a new wave of slaughter erupted.

Mercenaries and thieves walked on very different paths.

The former worked for money and could be hired by empires or any power group, and even if they gained a bad reputation, they were never hunted down completely.

The latter burned, killed, and looted for their own greed and spread like a disease, hated by every faction.

And Mirage Corsairs was currently the largest and strongest thief syndicate.

On a distant skyscraper, Sierra pulled her eyes away from the killing below and looked at Frost, who was sitting on the ground wrapping his wounds. “You almost died.”

Frost whistled and raised his brow carelessly. “So?”

“Nothing,” Sierra paused, then still asked, “I just do not understand why you had to provoke Greywolf. To kill Darius and Thora, you sacrificed so many Mirage Corsairs members. Was it worth it?”

Sierra asked because Corey had long given strict orders got to provoke Lance,

Frost sneered and paused in wrapping his bandages. “Don’t you think stealing his prey and watching him lose control is interesting?”

He licked the corner of his mouth, a flash of madness in his eyes. “But this time; there was a bonus prize. Ashwolf’s leader, Thora, was there too.”

His voice was full of regret. “I was so close to taking both of them down at once. Mr. Booth would have rewarded me for sure.”

Sierra could tell there was old hatred between Frost and Lance, but since he wouldn’t talk about it, she didn’t

ask.

“Mr. Booth just sent new orders. I’m supposed to take you back.” Sierra cut him off coldly.

Frost made a quiet shushing sound and lay back, staring at the pale moon in the sky.

After a long silence, he suddenly muttered, “Sierra, have you ever thought about leaving Mirage Corsairs?”

Sierra paused and didn’t answer.

She only stood at the edge of the skyscraper, looking down into the silent darkness below, her thoughts unreadable.

Inside the military hospital.

After losing consciousness, Darius was immediately rushed into a special ward.

Guards filled the inside and outside of the room in layers, sealing it tight.

Except for Yereah, no one was allowed near him.

Felix was also sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. Thora and the others were now waiting outside the operating room.

A nurse rushed over. “The patient has lost too much blood and must have a transfusion immediately, but the hospital is running low on this blood type.”

Thora spoke up at once. “Take mine.”

In her memory, both she and Felix had type O blood.
