Those documents revealed that 200 years ago, a unique substance appeared in Blue Star’s atmosphere. It could merge with werewolf genes and trigger physical mutations.

Samuel named it “the Key,” meaning “the key to opening another dimension.”

But the odds of this substance merging with werewolf genes were one in a billion. For it to happen, the individual had to reach a breakthrough in ability or mindset-that was the true nature of ability awakening.

That was when Thora realized just how different this world’s ability awakening was from the apocalyptic world she’d known.

Ever since that day Darius had stopped by unannounced, he started showing up every few days.

She had no idea what he had said to Howard, but for such a strict and dutiful butler, Howard sure seemed delighted every time he let Darius in.

At this point, Thora was starting to wonder if Darius was the real owner of the villa instead of her.

“Mr. Blackwood, Ms. Green is upstairs.” Howard led Darius forward. “She’s in the first room on the left side upstairs.”

Darius smiled. “Got it.”

He headed up the stairs with total confidence, as if he lived there himself.

Howard couldn’t help but think, Isn’t this Mr. Blackwood’s first time upstairs? How does he know his way around so well?

Thora was just about to head downstairs when she ran straight into someone at her door.

She didn’t hesitate-she swung her leg straight down in a vertical kick.

She hit with real force, like she was swinging a steel pipe.

Darius dodged swiftly, sidestepping her kick.

And just like that, the two of them started fighting right there at the door, tumbling into the

room.

Thora knew Darius was strong, and she’d always wanted to spar with him for real. The longer they fought, the more excited she got.
