“Are you worried I’ll get myself killed out there?” Thora asked, eyes locked on the screen.
Hugo shook his head. “I’m not worried about you being taken down by anyone.” He didn’t finish the second half: Hugo was more worried about the safety of others. He cleared his throat and added, “I just want you to understand the risks ahead of time.”
Thora gave a brief grunt and continued scrolling through the files.
Hugo saw the spark in her eyes, the excitement she wasn’t even trying to hide. He smiled.
Maybe he really didn’t need to worry at all.
“How many people are you planning to take with you?” he asked.
“Everyone who meets the requirements,” Thora replied firmly.
Hugo skimmed the Wolffang team list: Shirley, Harvey, Ashton, Luke, Tristan, Dominic, and Thora. Seven total, all within the age limit.
He was happy with that number. The army would have other candidates too. Who passed would depend on their own abilities.
“How many do you think will get in?” he asked.
Thora frowned, thought for a moment, then said seriously, “No idea. It depends on what they can do.”
Hugo blinked.
That wasn’t an answer Hugo expected from Thora.
“No one knows what’ll happen in the next minute,” she said simply. “For Wolffang, this is just another training mission.”
She already had a rough guess about who might make it but she trusted their potential more than their current skill.
That team never failed to break limits and surprise her. Until the very end, no one could say what the final results would be.
“What about you?” Hugo pressed.
Thora looked up at him. “In two years, I’ll graduate from Blue Star Military Academy.”
Thora’s meaning was obvious-she wasn’t just planning to get in. Thora would finish the program in the shortest time possible.
Hugo finally relaxed.
If Thora made a promise, she would never break it.
As far as he was concerned, as long as she got in, the others didn’t matter nearly as much.
“Official registration for Blue Star is on the sixth of next month,” Hugo reminded her. “It’ll be held in Tohmont. When are you planning to leave?”

Thora checked her watch. “I’ll inform you before I leave
Before leaving, she needed to settle things with her family.
Finished
Since Thora already had a plan, Hugo didn’t ask further. Then he suddenly remembered something. “Oh, there’s a batch of young officers in the army who’ve been asking about you.”
“Young officers?” Thora raised a brow.
“Most of them are heirs from old military families,” Hugo said, his tone strange. “They studied at Astralis College before; somehow they joined the army early. And for some reason, they’ve been digging for information about you. Very closely.”
But Thora’s identity was top-secret. There was no way those people could find any real information about her.
She thought for a moment and quickly figured out who they were. “I understand. We don’t need to worry about this,” she said calmly. “If any of them are truly talented, let the Wolffang members train and screen them. We can build a special forces unit under Wolffang
She mentioned it casually, but the words hit Hugo like thunder.
His face flushed with excitement. “You mean you want to expand Wolffang and turn it into a larger elite force?”
Thora didn’t deny it.
Hugo was already overwhelmed; this plan could fill the talent gap in the army and push Wolffang’s influence straight into the army’s core. It was precisely the strategic expansion he had always wished for.
After calming himself, Hugo let out a long breath. “At this rate, in less than five years, you could take my position.”
