The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 251

Chapter 251 An Interesting Friend

Darius narrowed his eyes as Elliott walked in, a cold glint spreading across his gaze.

“Mr. Blackwood has brought an interesting friend,” Elliott said with a smile as he took a seat.

Darius lifted his eyes, his voice calm. “Oh? And where is my friend?”

Tilting his head slightly, Elliott’s scrutinizing gaze locked onto Darius. The smile on his face slowly froze. turning sharp and cold. “Your friend is impressive. She killed more than 20 men the moment she boarded the ship.”

A trace of fondness flickered in Darius’s eyes. “Too bad I didn’t get to see it.

Elliott sneered. “So you’re not surprised at all.”

Darius’s lips twitched, neither confirming nor denying.

“Who is she?” Elliott pressed on, unwilling to believe the kid was ordinary. She had charged onto the ship alone, bullets seeming to miss her as if by magic. It was unbelievable.

Darius reached for the glass of red wine on the table and leisurely took a small sip.

Elliott was taken aback at first. Then, he realized that it was normal for Darius’s anesthesia to be wearing off at this time, which eased his doubts.

“She’s someone I’ve set my sights on,” Darius said softly, his voice wrapped in a unique tenderness.

After confirming Thora was temporarily safe, he no longer lightly used that person’s special abilities. After all, he didn’t want to be replaced…

By now, most of the anesthesia had worn off. He smoothly connected to his pack’s mind-link and immediately contacted Carl, quietly making plans…

“No wonder you’re not interested in females. It turns out you’re attracted to this good-looking, fearless kid,” Elliott said bluntly. “I can see why-she’s striking, especially when she’s killing. Even I can’t help but feel tempted by such a kid.”

His words were full of praise but carried an unmistakable threat beneath the surface.

Darius’s expression darkened instantly.

Sensing the change, Elliott seemed to have found a weak spot and deliberately deepened his tone. “Seems like you care a lot about this ‘friend’ of yours.”

Darius didn’t deny it. A cold smile curved his lips. “That’s right. So, Mr. Hawthorne had better be careful. If anything happens to her, your family will soon vanish completely from the Chaules

His voice grew colder, with no hint of threat-just stating an inevitable fact, sending a chill down Elliott’s spine.

“Huh… Mr. Blackwood, don’t forget-you’re on my ship now. And your friend is in my hands too. I hope you can face reality.” Elliott let out a cold laugh and glanced at his watch. “In three hours, my ship will sail

out of this area. By then, your men won’t be able to catch up.”

He paused, then added, “Even if they come after us now, they’ll just be throwing their lives away.”

He had prepared for this trip down to the last detail.

Darius stared at him for a long moment, then suddenly smiled. “It seems you really put in a lot of effort just to catch me.”

“I’m curious,” Darius asked slowly, his tone calm and unhurried. “You went to all this trouble to kidnap me. What exactly do you want?” The way he carried himself didn’t look like a hostage at all-he seemed more like an honored guest.

Elliott’s eyes turned sharp, though a smile stayed on his face. “Astralis folk like you always like to talk in circles.”

“We call it being subtle,” Darius replied lightly, still poised and graceful.

“We’re old friends, though we’ve only met once, but you left a deep impression on me. In business, even without meeting face-to-face, we’ve crossed paths countless times.” Elliott’s expression suddenly hardened. “But Mr. Blackwood, you shouldn’t have been so greedy-stretching your hand into our territory.”

Darius only smiled, saying nothing. There was no warmth at all in his eyes.

Control over the economy was the backbone of every major power on the Chaules. Skybound Group and the Hawthorne Group didn’t become the top business empires of the Eastern and Western by chance. Behind them were bold plans and fierce battles far beyond the ordinary

Darius was no exception.

The difference was that Elliott was even bolder-bold enough to kidnap Darius outright.

He believed that once Darius was taken, Skybound Group would fall into chaos. Or at the very least, he could force Darius to sign an unfair contract and seize the profits of the Hawthorne Group.

That was how the Hawthornes had always done things-anyone who stood in their way was removed.

Only because of Darius’s status did they refrain from killing him on the spot.

“Still…” Elliott said slowly, “I admire you. It would be a shame to kill you. So for now, I can only take you with me.” He watched Darius closely, searching for any reaction.

Darius didn’t answer. A faint smile rested on his lips as he lifted a wine glass, gently swirling it in his hand while gazing at the blue sea and open sky beyond the cabin window.

Time slipped by, minute after minute. The cruise ship slowly approached the edge of another stretch of

open waters.
