The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 252

Chapter 252 A Witch Contract

Finished

At the same time, Thora, who had been locked inside the ship’s cabin, was finally able to move freely.

She slowly rose from the floor, stretching her limbs, the joints crackling sharply with each movement.

Her nerves and muscles had fully recovered, much faster than expected.

Fortunately, she hadn’t handed control of her body over to Amie. After all, Amie’s so-called “toxin detox” was just shifting the poison to the wolf form.

The wolf’s body metabolized toxins faster, true, but the cost was a brief blackout and complete loss of mobility.

Thora would never allow such an uncontrollable situation.

Using only her human body, she became immune to the toxin in less than two hours, fully alert and without side effects.

This was a trait she had discovered during two years of training away from home.

Her body instinctively and rapidly produced antibodies against any injected liquid that affected her nerves or brain.

A normal werewolf struck by such a heavy anesthetic would take a day or even several days to recover, but she only experienced a brief blackout at first and quickly made a full recovery.

This unique constitution wasn’t even present in her previous life’s body!

Like her extraordinary bursts of strength and speed, it was yet another powerful feature of this body.

And with continuous training, these potentials kept being unlocked, making her completely different from the weak body she had when she was reborn.

Thora looked around. She was locked alone in a small, sealed cabin on the ship.

She closed her eyes and extended her mental energy, instantly sharpening her senses. The breathing throughout the ship suddenly grew more intense-clearly, the entire ship had tightened security.

Judging by the breathing outside the door, there were two guards, and the cabin door was locked from the outside.

At that moment, footsteps sounded outside the door.

Thora’s eyes flicked, and she immediately dropped back to the floor, pretending the drug’s effect hadn’t

worn off.

The iron door swung open, and two guards armed with heavy weapons stepped in. Without a word, they grabbed Thora off the floor and dragged her outside…

Darius looked down at the contract before him and raised his eyes. “Mr. Hawthorne, so you see me as just

He didn’t even need to read the contract to know what it said-it was nothing more than a demand that he sign an unfair deal because Skybound’s expansion had infringed on the Hawthorne family’s interests.

“I hope you’ll sign this contract, Mr. Blackwood. It’s in both our best interests,” Elliott said, staring at Darius with an unhidden threat in his tone.

“Are you joking?” Darius scoffed. “Even if I sign, I can back out anytime. That contract is just a piece of worthless paper.”

His fingers tapped the edge of the table lazily, his tone utterly dismissive.

Elliott, confident and fearless, said, “Don’t worry. To prevent that, I had a witchcraft the contract-once signed, it binds both our souls. If you break it, the contract’s power will immediately backfire on you. At best, you’ll lose your wolf strength; at worst, you’ll lose your life.”

Darius narrowed his eyes dangerously.
