Chapter 256 Goodbye, Ash

Thora reacted instantly, her hand darting to her waist without hesitation. In one smooth motion, she drew her sidearm, and with several crisp shots, the attackers dropped to the ground.
She didn’t pause for a second. Two more enemies tried to close in, but she dealt with them swiftly, always guarding Darius’s flank so he wouldn’t have to worry about a thing.
What incredible wolf power! He hasn’t even shifted, and he’s already this strong. I can’t imagine how terrifying he’d be if he transformed into his wolf form and entered his full power state, Amie marveled in Thora’s mind.
Thora’s heart raced as she watched Darius.
She had always known Darius was powerful, but he’d never fought with his full strength in front of her before. Seeing him reveal his trump card now, she realized she’d been underestimating him this whole time.
All her past worries about his ability to protect himself were unnecessary.
Even without a combat-type ability, his raw wolf power alone was more than enough to take on almost
anyone.
“Mr. Blackwood, impressive moves.”
Elliott spun away, using the force of Darius’s attack to roll back to safety.
He shook his numb arm and shot Darius a cold smile, not stingy with his praise.
“Well, at least I am better than you,” Darius replied without hesitation, golden wolf power still swirling fiercely around him.
Once Elliott was safe, dozens of guns immediately trained on Darius and Thora.
With Elliott no longer a hostage, they lost all leverage and were instantly surrounded.
The situation on deck was now the complete opposite of what was happening below.
Below deck, both sides were locked in a fierce firefight, with bullets flying and explosions erupting nonstop.
But up on deck, a chilling silence settled over everything.
The Hawthornes’ men kept their weapons aimed at Thora and Darius, but not one dared to pull the trigger.
Because Elliott hadn’t given the order.
They knew exactly who they could and couldn’t kill.
Even knowing Darius’s strength, Thora instinctively stepped forward, shielding him behind her.
Elliott’s gaze swept over Darius first, then landed on Thora. He couldn’t help but smile. “Tell me your name.”
Darius’s eyes went cold.

Chapter 256 Goodbye, Ash
“Ash Keller.” Thora replied simply.
Since he’d asked politely, she had no reason to refuse.
Ash?

Darius stiffened.
He remembered-the leader of Greywolf used to call Thora “Ash.” So she had a name he didn’t know about?
A sudden wave of jealousy hit him.
Elliott clearly noticed and shot Darius a provocative look, calling out, “So that’s what your sweetheart is called.”
Thora’s eyes narrowed as she stared Elliott down.
But Elliott backed away to the edge of the deck, giving Thora a meaningful glance. “Goodbye, Ash.”
Before anyone could react, he leaped into the sea.
His men followed suit, and in a matter of seconds, the deck was cleared of Hawthornes’ people.
Thora and Darius exchanged a quick look, then rushed to the edge.
But Elliott’s group was already speeding away in a motorboat, leaving a long wake behind them.
Darius’s team opened fire, bullets from the silenced pistols pinging off the boat.
But with Hawthorne’s reinforcements covering them, only one or two of Elliott’s men were hit and fell into the sea. Elliott himself remained unharmed.
“You let him go on purpose.” Thora looked sideways at Darius, her tone certain.
With his strength, he could’ve finished Elliott in the fight.
And his Phantoms were stronger than Elliott’s men. They could have easily kept him from escaping the Astralis Empire waters.
Boom!
Suddenly, an explosion rocked the ship. Thick smoke billowed overhead, and the air was filled with the smell of burning metal.
Another blast followed, and the whole cruise ship shook violently as water began to flood in.
As if that weren’t enough, more explosions erupted around the hull, as if bombs had been planted in advance and all went off at once.
Thora and Darius staggered with the heaving ship.
Even with Thora’s excellent balance, she had trouble staying upright.
