The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 272

Chapter 272 Take Me Along

Finished

Thora’s eyes sharpened like knives. She shoved the man’s arm away, spun around, and pulled a knife from her pants, holding it tight.

Her body was tense, every muscle ready for a fight.

Her voice was cold. “I don’t like wasting time. And I’m definitely not wasting any on you.”

Behind the silver mask, his eyes were stormy.

He moved with blinding speed; in a single blur of motion, he was already standing in front of Thora.

Thora didn’t hesitate. She punched, dodged, and kicked-attacking with everything she had!

But the man was just too fast.

Every hit was missed by just a little. She couldn’t even touch his sleeve.

If she weren’t in such a hurry, she would have loved to have a real fight with him.

He still didn’t attack, only defending himself.

And yet, it was wearing her out.

This was the first time she’d ever felt so strained fighting someone.

Suddenly, the man made a move. He grabbed her by the waist.

The waist is one of the weakest parts of the human body.

Thora tried to twist away, but his grip was strong. She couldn’t break free.

She planted her feet and jumped, using the rebound to propel herself upward, but in an instant, it felt as if he caught her and spun her through the air.

But Thora used the momentum to twist forward. She broke free, flipped twice in the air, and landed on the ground-slightly off-balance from the force.

“Thora!”

Suddenly, a woman rushed forward and spun her around while holding her.

“Are you okay?” Ashley asked, worried.

Thora frowned, “I was fine.”

If Ashley hadn’t suddenly grabbed her and spun her, Thora would have already balanced herself. Instead, the spin nearly threw her off.

She looked at Ashley’s hand on her shoulder and said flatly, “Let go.”

Ashley finally let go and stared warily at the silver-masked man. She laughed lightly. “I knew you weren’t

ordinary, but I didn’t expect you to move this fast. And that your target would be Thora…”

“Why are you here?” Thora cut her off immediately, her eyes fixed on the silver-masked man.

“I heard from your friend that you came back looking for someone. I worried you might get hurt, so I followed you,” Ashley said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear and crossing her arms, keeping her on the man, too.

Under the mask, his face looked cold, blending with the silver mask.

But his mouth curved into a dangerous, sly smile.

He stared at Thora with interest, like he’d found a favorite toy.

But the moment he looked at Ashley, his eyes turned sharp and cold, full of killing intent and disgust-just like how Ashley looked at him before.

Thora stepped forward, her expression cold and resolute. “I said I’m in a hurry. I need to find my friend. If you want to fight, we can do it later. Right now, I have other things to take care of.”

If this man refused to step aside and kept following her, not only could Luke be in danger, but she might also fail the first-round test.

Fighting could wait.

Saving lives couldn’t.

Thora always knew how to weigh risk and pick what matters most.
