The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 30

**Shadows Hearts by Joseph King**
**Chapter 30: That’s Classy of You**

Thora’s POV:

After the evening meal, I made a beeline for my room, the anticipation of coding buzzing in my veins. As I powered up my computer, the familiar hum of the machine felt like a welcome friend, ready to assist me in my latest endeavor.

In the chaotic days of the apocalypse, I had dabbled in a myriad of skills—computer literacy, programming, and even writing intricate commands. I had often found myself ahead of many self-proclaimed experts, navigating the digital landscape with a confidence that came from necessity.

However, this time around, the challenge was far more daunting. I needed to craft an encryption system so robust that Luke, with all his cunning, would find it impenetrable. It was a monumental task, one that demanded precision and creativity.

Creating a flawless encryption system was no mere walk in the park; it required a level of finesse that went beyond the simple act of breaking into existing systems.

As I typed out another series of commands, my fingers flying across the keyboard, I paused to catch my breath. It was during this moment of stillness that a memory flickered in my mind—the “Werewolf Battlefield Simulator” that Felix had so thoughtfully installed for me.

Curiosity piqued, I reached for my phone and opened the app. The loading screen greeted me with bold letters that promised an immersive experience. This game was a marvel, simulating the vast terrains of the Astralis Empire and its neighboring werewolf territories. Each pack’s power distribution was meticulously detailed, and the app even recreated the pheromone clashes that erupted during fierce werewolf battles. It was as if the very essence of combat had been distilled into this digital realm, complete with wolf spirit skill combos and advanced weaponry that modern werewolves wielded. The tactical strategies of each empire were replicated with an impressive level of detail.

Engaging with this game offered me a unique opportunity to study the intricate dynamics of this world’s factions and their battle strategies. It seemed like an efficient and practical tool to enhance my understanding.

Once I grasped the basics, Felix sent me an invitation to join his team, and without hesitation, I accepted.

For the past few days, my life had revolved around this game. If I wasn’t at school, training, or buried in code, I was immersed in the virtual world alongside Felix.

Together, we were an unstoppable force. Whenever I was part of the lineup, victory was assured. My ranking soared, placing me among the elite players in Starlance City’s youth group.

After several days of relentless effort, my encryption program was nearing completion. Just a few final touches remained to perfect it.

As I stood to stretch my limbs, I marveled at how much stronger I had become since my rebirth. It was clear that I needed to invest in some high-quality workout gear.

Leaving my room, I wandered through the villa, which was eerily quiet. I spotted a passing maid and decided to inquire, “Where is everyone?”

She responded, “Ms. Thora, Mrs. Green and Ms. Hazel have gone out to shop for dresses.”

Suddenly, the memory of the party Laurel had mentioned came rushing back to me. Tomorrow, all the prominent packs in Starlance City would gather for that event, and Norman would be returning as well. It was the perfect opportunity for me to assess the power dynamics among the factions and understand where everyone stood.

“Is Felix with them?” I asked, hoping to learn more.

“Mr. Felix had class today,” she replied.

Despite having awakened his wolf spirit and undergone intense training, Felix was still just a kid. Taking on five adult werewolves at once was an insurmountable challenge.

He was quickly pushed back, and I winced as a club struck his arm, causing him to grit his teeth in pain.

Just then, the closest attacker raised his club, dark wolf energy swirling ominously around it as he aimed for Felix’s head. The blow would surely be fatal if it connected.

I focused, tapping into my power, my eyes locked on the club.

“Huh? What the—?” The man froze, his muscles rigid as he struggled to move the club, but it was as if an unseen force held it in place.

He yanked again, desperation in his eyes, but suddenly the club swung back, crashing into his own forehead with a sickening thud. He crumpled to the ground like a marionette with its strings cut, bleeding and dazed.

“What’s going on?” The remaining group members took a step back, fear etched on their faces.

Even Felix, clutching his head and bewildered, looked around, trying to comprehend the sudden turn of events.

“Five adults ganging up on one kid? That’s classy of you,” I remarked, finally stepping out of the shadows and striding toward them with an air of confidence.
