The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 31

**Shadows Hearts by Joseph King**
**Chapter 31: Five Down, Zero Blood**

**Thora’s POV:**

The urge to witness Felix’s true strength in battle tugged at my thoughts, compelling me to hold back until the moment he faced genuine peril. I wanted to see what he could do when the stakes were high.

“Boss! She must’ve used some dirty trick to mess me up like this!” One of the thugs sprawled on the ground, his face twisted in pain, pointed a trembling finger at me, his voice a mixture of accusation and fear.

“Take her down!” The leader’s voice thundered, igniting a surge of adrenaline among his followers as they charged at me, iron rods crackling with the raw energy of their wolf power.

“Thora, watch out!” Felix’s warning pierced through the chaos, his voice a sharp crack in the air that sent a jolt through me.

I honed my focus, tracking the arcs of the swinging iron rods as they sliced through the air. Channeling the energy from the soulstone embedded in my being, I felt my speed surge. Dropping low to the ground, I recalled the agility I had honed while dodging mutant wolf claws during the apocalypse. I weaved effortlessly between the attackers, my movements fluid and precise.

The iron rods came crashing down with resounding clangs, but they met nothing but empty air.

Before they could regain their footing, I was already back on my feet, my instincts kicking in. I drove my right elbow sharply into the ribs of the thug on my left, the impact sending him wheezing to the ground. Simultaneously, I seized the wrist of the man on my right, who still clutched his rod. Using his own momentum against him, I pressed hard against the protruding bone of his wrist, targeting the critical pressure point designed for disarming.

With a sickening crack, he cried out, dropping the rod, which clattered uselessly to the ground.

In one fluid motion, I scooped up the fallen rod and reversed it, slamming the end into the back of the knee of the guy attempting to sneak up on me from behind.

The vulnerabilities of the human body were etched clearly in my mind, each weak point a target waiting to be exploited.

In mere moments, the entire group lay sprawled on the ground, groans of agony escaping their lips, yet not a single drop of blood stained the earth beneath us.

I gazed down at them, my expression betraying none of the chaos that had just unfolded. If I had unleashed my full strength, they would have been nothing more than lifeless bodies by now.

After dispatching the thugs, I turned my attention to Felix, who remained frozen in a crouched position, his eyes wide with disbelief.

“Get up,” I instructed, my tone firm.

But he didn’t respond, still caught in the shock of the moment.

**Felix’s POV:**

I watched in stunned silence as Thora dismantled those adult werewolves with a grace and speed I never knew she possessed. Her movements were like poetry in motion, each strike calculated and devastating. I struggled to comprehend the reality of what I was witnessing.

Was this truly my sister?

The Thora I remembered was timid and frail, her combat skills barely above that of a mere Omega.

In school, her grades were the lowest of the low, making her the target of relentless teasing and mockery.

I had felt a sense of embarrassment around her, distancing myself deliberately, and she had never made an effort to bridge that gap.

We were family, yet we had morphed into strangers over time.

But now, since her return, despite her stoic expression, she had begun to engage with me, sharing conversations, playing video games, and, most importantly, saving me from peril.

“Get up. I’ll give you candy,” she said, her tone casual yet commanding.

Suddenly, an orange-flavored lollipop appeared before me, a surprising gesture that snapped me back to reality.

I mentally grumbled, *I’m not a little kid anymore!*

Yet, against my own will, my hand reached out, grasping the lollipop tightly in my palm.

With a swift motion, she pulled me up from the ground, assessing me with a critical gaze. “Yeah, you’re fine.”

Internally, I screamed. *What do you mean I’m fine? I was hit by those rods multiple times!*
