Chapter 318 Reflection in the Mirror

Draven’s gaze turned cold in the mirror. Black energy poured out of him until he was completely covered in it, looking like a demon from hell.
The air filled with a bloody, rusty smell. A heavy sense of destruction blanketed the entire room.
Darius was also covered in this black energy, but he just smiled at the mirror. “You know what happens if you do this.”
Draven paused, then slowly withdrew the energy around him and just staring at Darius coldly.
Darius smirked. “Of course, if you behave yourself, you’re still my dear brother. But-” his voice got colder, “don’t ever think about replacing me.”
Draven stayed silent for a long moment. They stared at each other through the mirror.
They had the exact same face, but their vibes were totally different. One was wild and evil while the other was elegant with a bit of a bad-boy streak.
“You can’t stop me if I really want to come out, can you?”
Draven spoke confidently. “If it weren’t for that thunderstorm that day, do you think you could’ve taken over? Right now, you’re pretending to be me, aren’t you, Darius?”
He spat out Darius’s name slowly, like it was hard to say.
“So don’t think you’re the only one who can threaten me. After all, only I can fully control the ability.”
An invisible battlefield spread between the two.
“Originally, I just wanted to see what kind of person could make you care so much. The fact that you actually care about someone makes me very unhappy, because I don’t have anyone like that.”
Draven rested his chin on his hand and looked at Darius. He showed a playful expression that only ever appeared in front of Darius, like a mischievous little demon testing the edge of a forbidden line.
“At first, I thought if I didn’t like her, I’d just destroy her. That way, neither of us would have anything we care about, and everything would return to the beginning. But..,”
”
His tone shifted, and a trace of obsession flashed in his eyes. “I like Thora so much. What should I do?”
Darius’s expression instantly darkened.
He had already guessed this answer, yet it was the one he least wanted to face. He knew Draven didn’t truly like Thora. It was mostly jealousy and a simple desire to steal what belonged to him.
Darius spoke calmly, but his words ignited Draven’s anger at once. “She doesn’t like you.”
Draven’s obsidian-brown pupils instantly turned red and filled with jealousy.
Seeing him get so upset actually made Darius feel a lot better. It was like deliberately teasing a child until they cried, just to enjoy their explosive reaction. He was being a bit mean.

“Darius, how do you know she won’t like me?” Draven snapped back. “You just used dirty tricks to fool her! Thora doesn’t like you at all! This is all your own wishful thinking!”
Darius laughed. “So what? At least those tricks let me stay by her side. That’s enough for me.”
He didn’t want to waste any more time talking. “Right now, I don’t want to see you anymore, and I definitely don’t want you showing up in front of her. Do you understand?”
He was making a very clear threat.
Draven laughed coldly. “Darius, I’ll steal Thora away sooner or later.”
Draven’s voice echoed in Darius’s head.
Darius closed his eyes. When he opened them again, the reflection in the mirror had brown eyes again. He had suppressed Draven once more.
