The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 332

Chapter 332 Something Is Wrong

Finished

Thora stopped and looked at him. Draven’s face was calm, with a playful glint in his eyes. His wicked grin didn’t give anything away.

“When you put it that way, it does make sense.” Thora couldn’t find a rebuttal, so she let it slide.

Suddenly, sounds of a fight rang out nearby.

They exchanged a glance and headed straight toward the noise.

Through a narrow alley, they’spotted two candidates locked in a battle. It was clear that they were trying to kill each other for points.

Thora immediately noticed a flag planted between them. It was Duel Mode. No one else could interfere until one side died or surrendered.

She leaned casually against a wall to watch.

In the real world, killing was banned. In the game, those rules were gone. Taking another player out gave 30 points-way faster than grinding monsters.

A lot of players chose Duel Mode to avoid interference.

The weaker candidate shouted immediately, “I surrender! I give up!”

The other player wasn’t satisfied. Even though Duel Mode stopped attacks after surrender, he still tried his luck and threw a punch anyway.

System notified, “This player has surrendered. You can’t attack in Duel Mode.”

His fist passed right through, hitting nothing.

Thora’s eyes flickered. She’d already figured out how Duel Mode worked.

Ding! The system chimed. The flag disappeared, ending Duel Mode.

The winner immediately swung at the loser’s head, then drew a dagger and stabbed him in the heart.

With a dull thud, the loser fell. His body flickered a few times before dissolving into streams of data and vanishing.

Thora watched as the system count drop the total players. The leaderboard had been updated.

“Easy 30 points. Looks like a lot of players are about to start killing each other,” Draven said, clicking his tongue.

“But if the game doesn’t end, even with only one person left, they’d still be stuck here, right?” Thora said coldly.

A flicker of surprise crossed Draven’s eyes, though his face stayed calm. “So, to finish the game, we need all

twelve cards.”

Thora looked at him, a strange understanding passing between them.

The player who had just killed someone laughed in excitement. “Points from players are way better than monsters, and I don’t even risk getting hurt!”

If a player got hurt by an Infected, they could turn into one themselves. That would completely change the game’s path-definitely not what most wanted.

Thora stepped forward.

“What are you doing?” Draven asked, though he already guessed.

A faint, icy smile touched Thora’s lips. “Farming kills.”

Game Monitoring Area.

“One candidate has been killed and eliminated,” a chief examiner reported.

“Go check on him,” Valen ordered. “It might’ve been rough. Ask how he’s doing.”

“Understood.”
