Joanna’s eyes lit up instantly.

“Professor Carpenter!” she said excitedly. “My contract beast was summoned using your summoning circle. Thank you so much for publishing it. Without that circle, I wouldn’t be where I am today” She quickly waved Helen inside. “Please come in! Have you had breakfast? If you have, I can treat you to some dessert.”

Joanna’s attitude toward Helen was easily a hundred times warmer than her attitude toward Webster.

Even though Joanna was not Helen’s student, Helen had changed her life.

In a way, she was a benefactor.
