Chapter 101 Farce
It was already deep into the night, yet the area beneath the Ascension Tower was still crowded.
A bunch of people were loudly declaring their love for Joanna. The loudest was the same guy from earlier, the one who said he’d protect her. His name was Kyler Moore. He kept screaming Joanna’s name like he’d lost his mind. The crowd laughed at him, but he didn’t care at all.
“Guys, send me a 500-Starcoin tip, and I’ll go confess again!
“You asking why I’m so shameless? How is that shameless? Haters! I’m just chasing my happiness! If I win Joanna over, you’ll all be jealous!
“Nice, thanks for the 500-Starcoin tip! I’ll confess again right now!”
Kyler instantly shouted at the top of his lungs, “Joanna! I love you!”
Cedric got furious when he saw that.
“Do you have no shame? With that face, do you think you can confess to Joanna? Dream on!”
“I confess mine, you confess yours. It’s none of your business! So what if you’re handsome? Guys like you are always bad! Didn’t you see Joanna’s last teammates? All handsome, but all useless! Maybe she’ll go for an ugly one next.
“Wait-hold on.
“My live stream chat says you’re one of Joanna’s ex-teammates?
“Hey, reporters, come look! Aren’t these guys Joanna’s former teammates? They’ve got some nerve coming here with roses!
“Watch this, everyone. I’m zooming in!”
All
eyes instantly turned toward Cedric and the others. People began pointing and whispering.
“Damn, the backstabbing ex-teammates are here!”
“It’s them! They teamed up with Kayden to mess with Joanna over!”
“Why weren’t they arrested? Kayden already got centuries. They were his accomplices!”
“Trash like that shouldn’t even be here!”
“Move aside! I’ve got fresh bird droppings ready!”

In the interstellar age, natural food was insanely expensive. Rotten vegetables and eggs didn’t really exist anymore. But animal droppings were everywhere. Some were used as fertilizer, others to create strong smells to hide from beasts.
There were even prank items for sale.
Right away, drama-loving onlookers started throwing bags of dung fertilizer at Cedric’s group.
Cedric was built for pure damage. He had no defense or shield skills. A dung bag hit him squarely on the head, bursting open and covering his hair and face. His stylish red-streaked hair was now plastered to his skin, all traces of coolness gone.
Once one person threw something, others followed. Kyler even shouted, “Hit follow, everyone! I’m right on the front line! What a true ‘poop’ spirit! Send 1,000 Starcoins, and I’ll throw the next one myself!”
Many reporters on-site were also live-streaming. Fans tipped them, promising 1,000 Starcoins per throw.
Most reporters were non-combat support types who couldn’t enter dungeons. Their income was similar to that of ordinary workers in Joanna’s previous life. Making four or five thousand a month was already good.
Throwing a bag for 1,000 Starcoins was an easy choice.
Soon, a storm of “projectiles” rained down on Cedric and his team.
Bruce instantly activated Stealth and disappeared.

as a Silver-tier Bastion Shield.
“Hah! Using skills, kid? Think you’re special? Try my Armor-Piercing Arrow!”
Kyler pulled out a weapon. He was actually a Level 19 Archer.
He loaded a wooden arrow with the tip snapped off and wrapped another dung bag around it.
From just 20 feet away, he didn’t even need to aim. The arrow slammed into the shield illusion, hit the real shield, and burst open.
Lucas and Neil’s faces instantly twisted.
