The Battle Queen They Blindly Kicked Out (Joanna) novel Chapter 172

Chapter 172 Judgment in the Court

“Where is the crime? Was anyone trying to escape?”

“There was no escape,” the frontline unit explained. “These two committed crimes by damaging public facilities…” They quickly described what had happened at the

scene.

Soon after, the judicator walked over. He put the chain on Keith, who was groaning on the ground, and had Crispin carried away. Crispin had collapsed and was already brain-dead.

He turned to Joanna and said, “Please cooperate with the investigation. Your classmates are willing to testify for you. Don’t worry, the court will not wrong an innocent person, and it will not spare a guilty one.”

“Okay. I’ll cooperate,” Joanna said.

The investigation could not be done on the spot. The judicator linked Joanna with a restraint chain. The same chain also linked several witnesses who agreed to testify for her.

This special chain allowed suspects and witnesses to be transported together to the Public Dungeon Court, a court that handled crimes committed in public dungeons.

Inside the courtroom.

Joanna sat in the trial chamber once again.

As the saying goes, the first time is strange; the second time feels familiar.

This was already the third time Joanna had sat in a courtroom.

She even had the mood to compare this place with the court in Violetlight City.

Soon, the judicator asked her to explain what had happened.

Joanna only shared information that she felt was safe to disclose.

“They attacked me first. I didn’t know who they were. Later, Keith lifted his cloak,

and I recognized them. I admit I hit back hard, but Crispin used an Epic-tier forbidden spell on me. I had no choice but to counterattack. That was actually my weakest attack.”

The judicator hesitated. “What tier is your weakest attack?”

“Legendary-tier.”

Judicator jaw dropped.

What an eye-opener! So this was a student from the Divine and Demonic Academy? Even a program student was this strong. The gap was shocking.

The judicator asked more questions.

“There were two others who attacked you. Where are they now?”

“I don’t know. Other classmates killed them, and then they used Substitute Scarecrow to escape.”

“Did you know who they were at the time?”

“No idea.”

  1. Please wait while we verify the facts. The verdict will be issued soon.”

The judicator then went to the Gate of Hell to arrest Alfie and Perry. The attack involved four people. Evidence on Keith’s communicator showed that all four had planned the assault on Joanna together.

It would have been easier if Alfie and Perry surrendered on their own, so the judicator asked Keith to message them.

But Keith had already suffered a mental breakdown. He kept mumbling and confessing nonstop. During this, the judicator also learned that Keith had once spread rumors that led to the deaths of three girls.

That case would be merged and tried later. For now, the priority was to capture Alfie and Perry.

Messages were sent. No reply came.

With no other option, the judicator asked Herbert to contact them using the system’s friend list.

The result was grim. Their names had turned gray.

They were dead.

This made the situation far more serious. Both were SSS-rank professionals, and their deaths were a loss to the Space Alliance.

Other students had already killed them on the surface.

However, both had used Substitute Scarecrow. After reviving, they appeared outside the safe zone. The most likely cause of death was an attack by wraiths.

Court officers were sent out immediately. They soon found a pile of torn flesh and broken bones.

Because so many students were involved, the court arranged a much larger trial hall. It became a public hearing.

Not only were those involved present, but Helen also rushed over after hearing the news. She stood as Joanna’s legal guardian.

The judicator delivered the verdict on the spot.

“Keith Fisher organized and planned an attempted assassination, kidnapping, illegal restraint, defamation, and extortion against the victim, Joanna Lane.

“Accomplices Alfie Gregg and Perry Alvarez died during resistance by other students. Since the two attacked first inside the safe zone and did not reveal their identities, the others acted in self-defense without knowing the facts. No crime is established for those participants.

“Keith and Crispin continued to pursue the victim and showed clear intent to kill. Multiple charges are confirmed. Both were injured by the victim in the process.
