Chapter 174 Back to the Orchard
If she used a portal to travel, the trip alone would cost ten million Starcoins.
Violetlight City looked the same as always. In fact, only three days had passed since the SAT and her entry into the program.
Some people didn’t care about the SAT at all. Life went on like normal.
“Dungeon carry service! 500,000 Starcoins per run. Nine fighters, one boss!”
“Level 20 pro looking for a team. Last group wiped out.”
“Haha! I just got a perfect clear in Fruit vs. Zombies! I pulled a Silver-tier seed and a portable orchard!”
“Bro, that’s insane!”
Joanna listened to the loud, familiar voices around her. A small smile curved on her lips.
It felt like stepping back into another life.
She chose to enter a dungeon.
“Do you want to challenge Fruit vs. Zombies?”
“Yes!”
“Your current progress: Stage 20.
“Entry fee: 10,000 Starcoins deducted.
“Entering dungeon.”
Joanna started from Stage 20. She only used Celestial Gaze and cleared all the way to Stage 30 without taking any damage.
“All stages in this version cleared. Rating: SSS.

“You received: Orchard Space ×5.
“You received: Apple Tree (Silver-tier) x1, Orange Tree (Silver-tier) x1, Cherry Tree (Silver-tier) x1,
Golden Pear Tree (Gold-tier) ×1, Seedless Grape Vine (Dark Gold-tier) ×1″
She had gotten apple and orange trees before, but they were only Common and Bronze-tier. Now they were Silver-tier.
She pushed forward again, but at Stage 37, the monster mechanics made her take a
hit.
Joanna quit the dungeon and ran a round of “Protect the Chicks.”
Her luck was good. She got a perfect clear at Stage 30 and won a Dark Gold-tier pet: Blazeneck Turkey. She listed it on the market and sold it for 300 million Starcoins.
After finishing both runs, Joanna returned to the villa. Nighthowl, Alwyn, and Lucien were already back. They had prepared a lavish dinner.
The three of them proudly showed her the wraiths they had collected.
Nighthowl had killed a Wraith King and taken his Bone Throne.
Alwyn had defeated a Wraith Emperor and claimed a transportation that looked like a chariot.
Lucien got nothing.
“My queen, even if I brought back nothing, you can’t take away my right to sleep by your side tonight,” he said seriously.
Joanna didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
“Fine, fine.”
She took the two wraith relics and infused them into the Crimson Throne.
The throne upgraded again. Crimson Throne (Dark Gold-tier). The energy wasn’t enough to reach Diamond-tier, but this was still a huge boost.

Since joining the program, Joanna felt herself growing stronger every day.
After dinner, Lucien urged her to rest. In the bedroom, Joanna washed up and lay down. Then she looked at him, confused.
“Why aren’t you turning into a pup?” she asked. “Nighthowl and Alwyn always turn fluffy and sleep with me.”
Lucien was dumbfounded.
For real?
He instantly felt a bit proud and said, “I’m supposed to make love with my queen.”
“No way. We’ve only known each other for three days,” Joanna said. “If you don’t change, you’ll sleep on the floor.”
She smiled. “But if you turn into a pup, I can hug you while I sleep.”
Lucien hesitated. He resisted. Then he finally changed into a tiger pup and jumped onto the bed.
Joanna laughed brightly and rubbed his soft fur.
