The Battle Queen They Blindly Kicked Out (Joanna) novel Chapter 221

Chapter 221 Joanna Bought a Star

Dax from the Combat Club had also been beaten by Joanna.

The Finance Club wasn’t a good fit either.

None of the four major clubs sent Joanna an invitation.

Joanna didn’t care much about it. She sent a message to Helen to ask about the next classes and experiments.

There was no reply.

Is she still out hunting gods? Joanna wondered.

With no answer, she decided to focus on getting stronger first.

She checked the SSS-rank skill upgrade stone she had applied for.

She had applied back during the program, but it still hadn’t been approved.

Too many people were ahead of her in line.

Sometimes, that was just how things were. The higher you climbed, the fewer resources there

were.

This won’t work, Joanna thought. “If I keep my points and don’t spend them, my strength won’t grow. If I can’t upgrade myself, I’ll upgrade my contract beasts.”

Buying rules was impossible.

But among her three contract beasts, one of them had a very clear upgrade path, and that was Alwyn. He was the second contract beast, polite and calm, never fighting for rewards, which made Joanna feel even more sorry for him.

Earlier, the four of them had discussed who should get Bloodmeld, and in the end, it was given to Nighthowl, who already had Cosmic Umbrage. Alwyn, on the other hand, only had Gamma Ray.

Both were light-based abilities, but they were different. Gamma Ray was a type of electromagnetic wave. Because of that, Nighthowl had two modifiers, Corrupted Frenzy and Bloodmeld, while Lucien had Petrified. Only Alwyn had none.

Joanna decided to boost him.

She was going to buy a star.

Within the Space Alliance, there were countless dimensions. In the current galaxy alone, there were about 400 billion stars, not even counting other galaxies.

But just like land belonged to nations, the entire universe belonged to the Alliance.

A single star, or even a whole star system, was extremely expensive.

Many academy students who trained fire spells needed to buy stars. But someone like Joanna, who wanted to directly use Stellar Devourer, was rare. In the end, the Academy priced it at 50,000 credits.

That meant Joanna would spend all the credits she had. She didn’t mind-she could earn 50,000 credits again in one month. So she spent everything at once and bought a star.

When a star disappeared, the star system around it would collapse as well. Because of this, the Academy sold them as a full package, which made it even more expensive.

This miniature star system had seven planets. Three were gas giants, and four were solid planets. The gas planets also had many moons.

Nighthowl and Lucien could absorb power from the planets too. Nothing would go to waste.

Soon, the academy sent her a detailed coordinate.

Joanna didn’t need to customize a portal coordinate. That kind of teleport alone would cost billions of credits.

To avoid problems in space, she prepared early, putting on a spacesuit and drinking a gravity potion. Everything was ready.

“Let’s go,” Joanna said, and activated Astral Step.

Joanna crossed countless dimensions and finally arrived at the target location, appearing in outer space.

Joanna summoned the Crimson Throne and sat down, floating weightlessly in space.

The entire star system spread out before her eyes, and at the center was a massive white dwarf burning with extreme heat.

A yellow dwarf or red dwarf would have been better. The younger stars had more energy. But yellow dwarfs might have life-bearing planets, which made them much more expensive. Joanna could not afford those.

“Go and devour it,” Joanna ordered.

“Joanna, come with me,” Alwyn said. “You can transform into an Eternal Sun and travel inside the star with me and devour the star.”

“Then I want Joanna to come with me to the gas planet. It’s all clouds, with huge storms.” Lucien leaned over and hugged her from behind.

Why her back? Because Nighthowl was on her left, and Alwyn was on her right.

“Are storms fun?” Nighthowl said. “Why not come with me and check the metal planets? There might be valuable minerals. Some of them I don’t even recognize.”

Surrounded by men on both sides, Joanna felt the pressure.

She quickly said, “You absorb the energy. After that, just feed it back to me. Don’t worry about me. Absorbing planets takes time, and I can’t stay in space for too long. I still have classes to attend.”
