Chapter 230 The First Summon
Joanna ran her fingers through Lucien’s long black-and-white hair and sighed. “Looking at me won’t help,” she said. “You were all gone lately, so I had to grind monsters alone. My efficiency was low, and I didn’t save much affinity aura. Now that you’re back, I’ll assign the tasks.”
Nighthowl was put in charge of the Public Dungeon classes. Lucien took over the
Comprehensive Studies dungeon courses. Alwyn, steady and calm, was assigned to lead the Strategy Group classes.
That finally gave Joanna some free time to visit Helen’s lab.
She had never truly mastered circles before. She knew how to set them up, but not why they worked.
Now, after serious study, she understood much more of the theory.
By combining what she learned with plane coordinates, Joanna designed her first circle specifically for Zoey.
The next step was testing it.
To make sure the experiment would succeed, Joanna returned to Chromatic Star. She brought a professional lab assistant with her-Beatrice.
“Your Astral Step skill is incredibly awesome,” Beatrice said in surprise. “You can cross countless planes and jump straight to a target plane. That’s something only a Level 80 spatial mage could do. If that’s true, maybe you really can go find the professor.”
Joanna’s eyes lit up.
“Then give me the professor’s coordinates,” she said quickly. “I’ll go see her after this.”
“I don’t have them,” Beatrice said, spreading her hands.
“That place is the Divine Battlefield. I’ve only heard of it. I’ve never been there.”
Joanna frowned. “Does the professor have any other friends? Who sent back the news? Can we ask them?”
Beatrice thought for a moment. “After we finish this, I’ll try to gather more information.”
Before, there was no hope. Even after learning the truth, there was no way forward.
Now that a path existed, Beatrice became much more motivated.

Soon after, the two of them went to find Zocy.
Zoey lived in Violetlight City, in a large downtown apartment-about 2,600 square feet.
Being a celebrity really paid well.
In the galactic era, entertainment was highly developed. For many ordinary people, celebrities were emotional anchors. The industry made money fast.
Most of Zoey’s income went to her company, and she kept only a small part. Even so, she had saved a lot over the years. There was also one portion the company dared not touch-Zoey’s fertility fund.
“You’ve read all the materials I gave you, right?” Joanna asked.
The documents explained how to release affinity aura and show genuine goodwill.
“Don’t worry,” Zoey said. “I memorized everything. I’m also working on my talent. I just can’t afford a talent upgrade stone.”
“That’s fine,” Joanna replied. “Then let’s try the summon now.”
Joanna set up the circle.
Zoey then released her blood.
Very quickly, the circle locked onto its target star system.
Sentinel Parallel Universe: Medusa Galaxy, Exile Star.
This was Nighthowl’s Exile Star.
The planet was filled with twisted sentinels. There was no law and no order. If sentinels were treated as consumables, then here, they were all considered “ownerless.”
In truth, the planet Alwyn came from was much better. Many sentinels there were still rational and might appear in human form when summoned.
But Joanna had stolen their “sun.” She was worried those orderly sentinels might chase her down and demand repayment.
Exile Star was safer.
It also gave these twisted sentinels a chance at rebirth.

The circle appeared. Blood acted like a lure, drawing in the sentinels’ presence.
It had only been three months since the last time that presence appeared.
They had been wondering if the circle would ever return.
Now, countless monsters rushed forward, fighting to enter the circle. They stopped dead when a furious roar shook the land.
