With the strength of their team, even if they only ran the Desolate dungeon, they could still make the equivalent of about 72 million a year.

Of course, without a spatial backpack and guide, they probably could not pull this off.

So the company made money, and they felt like they made money too.

If Joanna ever found out about the “sell-yourself” contracts they signed, she would probably just smile and wish them well.

Lucas led a few people to the cafeteria. For one meal, he ordered food worth 20,000 Starcoins again.

He looked at his account balance. There were still over 1 million Starcoins left. He finally felt relaxed and decided to eat freely.

He ate three nutrition bars.

Right away, the cafeteria’s natural food suddenly tasted much better.

He stopped being picky.

Just then, Bruce’s communicator buzzed.

It was from a special alert.

He quickly opened it and saw a familiar face on the screen. Someone was doing a live food

stream.

Sweet bread rolls, durian pizza, blueberry cake, burgers, and fried chicken.

He had never eaten any of these.

Joanna had never made food like this.

“These were all made by my contracted companion, Nighthowl,” Joanna said with a smile. “I just have to eat!”

“This durian is a Silver-tier item. I don’t know what attributes it gives after being cooked. Neither of us is a chef, so the system didn’t show any attribute stats.

“Mmm, it’s good. I only ate one piece and got +1 Vitality. It’s probably weaker because the flour doesn’t give attributes. Next, we’re going to clear a dungeon!”

Bruce could almost smell the food through the screen. His mouth watered. The cafeteria food suddenly felt tasteless.

Lucas snapped, “Eat properly. Don’t watch streams while you eat.”

Bruce quietly switched the display back to his communicator and put on his headphones.

Lucas couldn’t stop him, but the food in his mouth suddenly didn’t taste good anymore.

Honestly, it never tasted that great.

What was Joanna cooking over there? It looked so sweet. So good.

And was it really attribute food?

He was still eating cafeteria meals.

She was eating attribute food.

Was the gap between them getting bigger and bigger?

While he was thinking, his communicator beeped.

He checked the caller. Kayden.

Lucas paused. His eyes darkened with a flash of calculation.

He answered.

“Mr. Wright.”

“Genius, how’s that thing I asked you to do?” Kayden laughed. “When are you sending Joanna to me? I’m stuck in the public dungeon every day. I’m bored out of my mind. I already got tired of a few of my classmates. Joanna is better. Every time I see her, I get excited. Hahaha!”

Kayden’s loud voice echoed. Everyone nearby could hear.

Bruce’s face turned dark. Neil’s expression became hard to read.

Lucas stayed calm. “I did what you asked. We kicked Joanna out of the team. But she didn’t join yours. She made her own team.”

“Huh?” Kayden laughed. “With just her S-level vitality talent, she made her own team? Who would join her?”

“No one,” Lucas answered honestly. “It’s just her.”

“Hahaha!” Kayden laughed even louder. “Then her life must be pretty bad. Fine, I get it. I’ll go find her myself later. You don’t need to worry about it. You still did me a favor. Here, take this. A dagger for you.”

The call ended.

A moment later, Lucas got a direct trade from Kayden on the marketplace. For one Starcoin, he received a Silver-tier dagger.
