Chapter 179
Manfred POV
Dane didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he reached for a pen, slow and precise, as he wrote a single word on the paper before turning it toward me.
“Speak.”
As always Dane Kerrigan never spoke to anyone.
Not because he couldn’t, but because he chose not to. The pack’s healers had examined him more than once and his throat was fine. His hearing was sharp and there was nothing physically
wrong.
Yet no one had ever heard his voice. He communicated only through writing.
Most believed it was simply his nature–a wolf who had severed unnecessary instincts, Emotions, Expression and Even speech.
His mind built purely for calculation and reserch.
I repeated Fiona’s message exactly as it was given.
“Lydia. A young girl with blonde and blue eyes”
For a moment, he didn’t react, then something shifted subtly and undeniable.
Dane’s eyes, usually calm unless he was deep in research, flickered with Recognition.
He grabbed the pen again, this time faster. His handwriting, usually flawless, pressed harder into the paper.
“Where is the girl, Fiona?”
I stilled beside I could feel a difference in this question, as if there was a connection.
“Professor Dane.” I said carefully, “do you know her?”
The pen
moved again, sharper this time.
“Tell me… This is important.”
He paused then added… “I need to see her.”
That wasn’t curiosity. That was urgency. Real urgency.

Chapter 179
Finished
For a wolf like Dane, I have never seen anyone mean that much to him. I studied him for a moment longer, then nodded.
“Fine. I’ll arrange a meeting. If she’s coming,” I added, “she comes here”
She has to be here, the most secure ground we had. Because if Fiona truly had ties to Dane Kerrigan, then she wasn’t just an asset anymore.
She was a variable, and variables had to be controlled.
Fiona POV
Kaleb’s call woke me up.
“Queen… Professor Kerrigan agreed to meet you.”
I was already sitting up before he finished. “How soon?”
There was a pause. “…Whenever you’re available.”
“I’m ready now.”
There was silence from his side before he continued.
“Now?” he asked.
“Yes. I’m preparing now…” I said.
“Okay. I’ll be waiting at the airport.”
I sent a message to Maeron and the rest, sharing my location, and they made arrangements for my security before I left.
If anything went wrong, they would be aware once I pressed a button, and Kieran would be blasting in with the others in minutes.

By the time Kaleb reached the airport, I was already there, packed and waiting with my ticket in hand.
I didn’t have time to hesitate. Not when the name I had been curious about had finally surfaced. I was very sure there was something Lydia was hiding and Dane Kerrigan would lead me to the truth.
Kaleb looked slightly overwhelmed. “You didn’t have to rush this much…‘

“I did have to because I have so much respect for your organisation.” My voice came out quieter than I expected.
“Thank you… We are flattered.” He said with a smile.
Three hours later, we landed, and a car was already waiting.
The man who stepped out didn’t need to introduce himself.
I smelt it instantly – that he was one of them. A strong wolf, trained and proven dangerous.
The Blue Sect organisation have many trained wolves which made their group powerful. We are only interested in the Blue Lab that handled medicine.
“River,” Kaleb said under his breath, introducing the man.
The man gave a short nod before looking directly at me, his gaze sharp and assessing.
“Phone,” he said.
I handed it over without hesitation. “No resistance when there are other ways to contact Kieran without that.
We had created a medicine that made our mind link so strong even from miles away. My blood made that possible.
“Search.”
I let them do their job.
Scan first, then physical, thoroughly, professionally, and without hesitation.
After that, they brought out a blindfold.
Kaleb frowned. “Isn’t this a bit much?”
