The Betrayed Princess Rising (Lylah and Ezra) novel Chapter 417

Chapter 417

3rd Person’s POV

The silence that followed only fed Eldric’s confidence.

Finished

A smug sort of triumph crept across his face, ugly and self-satisfied, as though Lylah’s stillness had already confirmed his victory.

“No answer? Then perhaps you’re afraid,” he said mockingly. “Don’t worry. If you lack the courage to tell him yourself, I will.” His lips curled coldly. “No male would willingly accept a woman already touched by another male. Especially not an Alpha with a reputation as revered as Ezra of Moonclaw.”

In Eldric’s mind, the outcome had already been decided.

Once Ezra learned the truth, disgust would follow. The bond would shatter. Lylah would be stripped of her title, abandoned by Moonclaw, and cast back into the life she once crawled out of-a stray with no pack, no protection, no worth.

Just as she had been when Ironcrest cast her aside.

Just as she had been before Rowan took her in-only to abandon her all over again.

A cruel gleam entered Eldric’s eyes. “The moment his influence disappears, you’ll realize exactly where you belong.”

Then he turned sharply toward Daia and Orion.

“Come,” he ordered. “I’ll arrange a meeting with Alpha Ezra myself. There’s a truth the Alpha of Moonclaw deserves to hear.” His chest swelled with self-righteous arrogance. “As an Alpha, it’s my duty to save another Alpha from disgrace.”

Daia hesitated instantly.

Unease flickered across her expression.

“I don’t think that’s wise,” she said carefully. “Approaching Moonclaw’s Alpha without invitation…” Her voice lowered. “If he takes offense, it could endanger our family and Ironcrest.”

Orion looked equally disturbed, tension radiating sharply from him.

But Eldric scoffed.

“Offense?” he sneered. “Why would he be offended? He should be grateful I exposed the truth about his Luna. Once he understands what kind of woman she truly is, he may even support Orion himself.”

He reached for the office door.

And the moment it opened,

A monstrous aura crashed into the room.

Chapter 417

It struck like a tidal wave beneath a blood-red moon.

Dominance.

Power.

Predatory fury.

Finished

The pressure rolled through the office with terrifying force, thick enough to suffocate breath itself. Every instinct in the room screamed submission before the predator standing beyond the doorway.

Daia froze instantly. Orion staggered back a step. Even Eldric’s wolf whimpered beneath his skin.

Because standing there-

Was the Alpha of Moonclaw himself.

Eldric’s face drained of color.

“A-Alpha Ezra…”

His voice shook.

Daia and Orion had already gone pale as ghosts.

Ezra barely spared them a glance.

His attention locked immediately onto Lylah.

And the fury surrounding him softened at once.

Without hesitation, he crossed the room and pulled her against him, one arm wrapping securely around her waist as though reclaiming what belonged to him before the entire world.

Lylah blinked in surprise, instinctively relaxing against the warmth of his chest.

“Why are you here?” she asked softly. “You don’t usually come to Lunar Grace.”

Ezra’s attention sharpened on her instantly, his wolf straining beneath his skin as though sensing every flicker of distress clinging to his mate.

Then his hand rose to brush gently against her cheek.

“That was my mistake,” he said quietly, though danger still lurked beneath every syllable. “If I had known my Luna was being treated like this, I would have come much sooner.”

The tenderness in his voice only made the terror in the room worse.

Because everyone could see it now.

The Alpha of Moonclaw adored her.
