The Betrayed Princess Rising (Lylah and Ezra) novel Chapter 429

Chapter 429

3rd Person’s POV

Several days later, the long-awaited mating ceremony finally arrived.

Lunaris glimmered beneath the descending dusk, the entire city awash in violet and amber twilight, while the ceremonial venue burned warmly against the night like a sacred flame beneath the sky. Music drifted through the cooling air alongside the lush scent of lilies and cedarwood, winding through the sprawling garden where guests from allied Packs gathered beneath strands of silver lanterns.

The celebration could have easily lasted until dawn.

Damon’s family wants extravagant festivities once joy finally reaches their home. Especially now-when their son had found his mate, and a future heir already grew beneath her heart.

But both Damon and Tiara had firmly refused any celebration that stretched beyond tonight.

When Ezra and Lylah finally arrived beneath the glowing archway of white lilies, several heads turned instinctively toward them.

The Alpha and Luna of Moonclaw.

Power rolled naturally from Ezra’s presence. Beside him, Lylah looked softer beneath the lantern light, soft blue fabric draping elegantly around her figure.

Then Lylah saw Tiara.

And her chest tightened instantly.

For a brief moment, she could only stare.

Tiara stood near the center of the venue, dressed entirely in white, with moonlight catching against the delicate embroidery of her gown, making her look almost ethereal. Her light auburn hair had been swept into an elegant updo crowned with silver vines and tiny crystals that shimmered like frost beneath the lantern glow.

It was exactly the kind of mating ceremony Tiara once used to dream about in whispers late at night.

“You look unreal,” Lylah breathed.

Tiara spun immediately.

“Lylah!”

Without hesitation, she rushed forward and threw her arms around her best friend, nearly squeezing the air from her lungs.

“Finally,” Tiara complained dramatically. “Why are you so late?”

Lylah blinked in disbelief. “Late? Tiara, I’m literally on time.”

She had spent nearly the entire previous night with her already. Apparently, even that hadn’t been enough.

“You still disappeared,” Tiara muttered accusingly as she pulled away. “You’re supposed to stay with me every second. Especially since you’re leaving soon for that volunteer assignment.” Her expression turned increasingly betrayed. “Wait… does this mean you won’t stay with me for the first few days in Moonclaw after I move there?”

“We already discussed this,” Damon said before Lylah could answer.
