The Betrayed Princess Rising (Lylah and Ezra) novel Chapter 431

Chapter 431

3rd Person’s POV

“I heard your situation isn’t exactly perfect either.”

Tiara’s smile turned razor-sharp as she faced Cora beneath the chandelier light.

“The only reason you rushed into this mating was because of your pregnancy. Otherwise, Alpha Rowan would never have tied himself to you this quickly.”

The air shifted instantly.

Cora’s expression twisted with fury, her wolf snapping violently beneath her skin.

“How dare you?” she hissed. “At least I was claimed first. Rowan chose me.” Her gaze swept over Tiara with open disdain. “Unlike you-carrying a child before anyone even bothered to make you official.” A cruel smile slowly curved across her lips. “Does Beta Damon even know how many males touched you before he did?”

A dangerous growl rippled low through the corridor.

Rowan’s hand closed abruptly around Cora’s wrist.

The Alpha of Blackfang stood rigid beside her, eyes darkening with unmistakable displeasure as his wolf stirred restlessly beneath the surface.

At the same moment, Damon stepped forward.

Without hesitation, he slid an arm around Tiara’s waist and guided her backward, placing himself partly between her and Cora.

“Damon, let me go,” Tiara snapped, struggling against him as fury flashed across her face. “I’m going to rip apart that poisonous tongue of hers.” Her eyes burned. “How dare she act superior to Lylah? Forget Lylah, she’s not even better than me.”

Damon barely reacted to her anger.

“Look at me,” he said evenly.

Tiara glared up at him.

“Luna Lylah isn’t reacting because she already understands Cora’s game.” His voice remained low and steady, carrying the quiet authority of a Beta. “Cora wanted your temper. She wanted your pride to flare.” His eyes sharpened faintly. “And the moment you lose control, she wins.”

Tiara’s jaw tightened.

“All she threw at you were empty provocations,” Damon said quietly. “If you truly want to destroy someone like her, do it with actions-not pointless arguments.” His arm tightened around her waist, his wolf curling possessively around its mate. “Moonclaw wolves do not bare their fangs unless they intend to draw blood,

Tiara.”

Then his gaze softened slightly.

Once the wolf disappeared down the corridor, Ezra turned back toward Lylah.

He reached up, brushing several loose strands of hair gently behind her ear, his touch lingering against her skin. “This is our gift to them, my love.”

Lylah’s eyes lifted to his.

“You remember that night at the Venture,” Ezra continued softly. “We promised Cora would taste the consequences of her own lies only after she officially became Rowan’s Luna.” A faint, cold smile touched his lips. “The time has finally come.”

Something dark flickered through the Alpha aura wrapping around him.

“The rest,” he said quietly, “we leave to Commander Ivar.”

Understanding settled immediately inside Lylah’s chest.

Now Ivar would learn of Cora’s fabricated pregnancy as well.

Every part of the future she claimed tonight had been built upon deception.

And now, with the mating bond sealed, there would be nowhere left for her to run.
