"Please. Don’t take this away from us."

Florida and Ransom’s faces twitched as they looked at the young man—someone who looked just as angry as they were. But surprisingly, he carried the same level of self-restraint as the two men before him.

Florida’s gaze dropped to the young man’s fist, catching the slight tremor as it clenched tightly at his side.

"Let’s go," Ransom whispered, his head lowered as a shadow cast dangerously over his face. When he lifted it, his eyes locked with the young man’s. "Let’s just go."

The young man glanced at Florida, only to see the other man nod in agreement.

With that, they looked back once more at the scene outside the brothel before finally turning away. However, this time, the duo wasn’t walking away with just gratitude. They were walking away, leaving their hearts behind, intending to come back and rescue them later.

Florida and Ransom weren’t the only ones whose faces were grim and hearts aflame with fury.

On the line, listening to the exchange, Lola, Izu, and Pika lowered their heads. Shadows cast over their faces as they pieced together what had happened in Gigante.

Silence fell over the narrow alley where Izu and Pika stood. At that moment, all they could hear was nothing at all—not because Ransom and Florida were muted, but because the two men leaving Gigante were sharing that same silence.

Slowly, Izu raised a hand to his earpiece and pressed a button.

"Pika," he called, turning toward him. "Can you create another line with just the madam in it?"

Pika looked up at him and didn’t ask any questions. "Sure."

Without idling, Pika got to work. Izu’s request was simple, and a minute later, it was done.

"Just press the button," Pika said. "I created another channel that only connects to her."

Izu nodded, then pressed the button twice, switching the line from the duo to Lola.

"Madam." He breathed out, unable to hide the glint in his eyes. "I will... go back to Gigante. Please, give me permission."

His hands balled into fists, his breathing heavy but controlled.

Pika glanced at Izu. This time, he didn’t complain, nor did he think too deeply about it. If Izu took him, he would probably go—even if he didn’t think he could be of much help.

Deep down, Pika also wanted to help the granny. Not just because she was Haji’s grandmother, and not because Haji was the one who forced Pika into this mission. But despite barely knowing the guy, they were now part of the same family, the same organization.

They were part of the Order.
