Chapter 718: Welcome to the House of Bellemonte

"Chacha, I don’t think this is a good idea," Second muttered as they navigated through the forest of the small island, which was known to be completely isolated.

The Order was surrounded by smaller islands, and most of them had residents. Even so, there were a few islands that weren’t occupied, either to preserve their natural habitats for wildlife or to serve as refuges. Either way, they could be considered very dangerous, as this was the wild territory.

Their little arms brushed against the large bushes that crowded the narrow path.

"How could the body get swayed into this area?" he asked, hugging Chunchun securely in his arms. "I’m sure everyone checked this island. It’s the closest to the scene. If they didn’t see the body, that means it’s not here?"

Leading the group was Chacha, holding a small stick to push leaves out of her way.

"Second, don’t you remember this island?" she sounded optimistic. "This is where Daddy threw us when we were children."

"Chacha!" Second shouted. At the same time, the black panther jumped down after her. "Oh no!"

Panicking, he carefully rushed to the edge. Seeing the slope wasn’t too steep, he jumped and slid down with controlled ease. When he landed, his eyes widened as he saw Renny picking Chacha up by the back of her collar.

"Chacha!" he rushed over, kneeling beside her.

"Ouch..." Chacha touched her leg, sitting up. Fortunately, their suits had padding on the knees and elbows.

"Chacha, are you okay?" he asked, worried. "Did you break something?!"

Renny nudged Chacha’s temple as if checking her posture. Then the panther sniffed something — blood. Renny turned its head, spotting something across from them.

"I’m okay..." Chacha muttered as she recovered, lifting her gaze. Before facing Second, she saw something that made her eyes widen.

Seeing her sudden reaction, Second panicked even more.

"Chacha, what is it? Are you hurt anywhere? Did you forget your memories? Do you not remember me anymore?"

"Second," she said with wide eyes, not looking away. Slowly, she raised a finger and pointed. "We found it."

Confused, Second turned. His gaze landed on a fallen tree trunk surrounded by leaves and algae. The place Chacha landed was a large circular depression with debris scattered around.

He frowned, unsure what he was supposed to see until he spotted someone’s fingers sticking out from behind a bush. His eyes widened.

She was right. The body was here.

The twins paused, then both approached the body. Renny was already near the toppled trunk.
