The Billionaire Twins Need A New Mommy! novel Chapter 784

Chapter 784: Fine, deal with them then.

"I will keep her safe, Mr. Zorken. Even though I cannot promise that I will allow you to walk out of this room, I give you my word—your wife will remain unharmed."

Marceline and Draken’s shared laughter stopped, though the echoes of it still lingered in the room. Both narrowed their eyes at Atlas, then at the cardinal. But before either of them could make another ridiculing remark, Atlas spoke.

"What about my children?" He asked, his tone deadly serious. "What are your plans for my children?"

"You’re not actually complying with him, are you?" Marceline arched a brow at him, scoffing. "Atlas Zorken, I will let you off for bombing my territory and knocking me unconscious when I gave you all the grace I could to hear your reasons. But this?"

Displeasure quickly overtook her expression. "Do not make me laugh. You better not, or I’m going to kill you myself."

"Haha..." Draken was just as displeased. "...This is not the same man who sent his people to march into my territory and abducted me in broad daylight."

There was no way Atlas would simply comply. Yet he ignored both of them. Instead, he kept his eyes fixed on the cardinal, as if the latter were the only person in the room.

"My children," he repeated. "What about them?"

The cardinal pondered briefly before smiling. "Initially, I had no plans on letting them live. But after praying on it, I realized those children have done nothing wrong. Even though they are a product of your sins, they are still children."

Marceline repeated. "Product of what?"

"With proper guidance, I am certain the Church can nurture them," he continued. "So do not worry about them. Your wife would be devastated without them."

Atlas drew a deep breath and nodded once. "And my family? My parents, my siblings, and their families. Will you spare them if I do as you ask?"

"About that... I’m afraid I cannot," the cardinal sighed heavily, shaking his head. "Mr. Atlas, I believe in the cycle of revenge. Knowing your siblings, I am certain they would not stop opposing the Church if something were to happen to you. Hence, I have no choice but to deal with them now."

"And how are you going to deal with them?"

"That is not something you should concern yourself with," the cardinal replied with a smile. "Our people are handling them as we speak. Just as we are dealing with the rest of your forces across your territories. Thanks to Madam Iris’s support and our benefactors, we have amassed enough resources and manpower to deal with all of you at once."

He paused, and his smile widened. "But none of this would have been possible without the Order’s help. Your initial attack weakened everyone else’s forces."

"You—" Draken ground his teeth, a vein bulging along his jaw.

The others’ faces darkened.

"If I am to declare a new world order—a world free of the founding families and the secret society—then this is a necessary measure I am willing to take," he finished with finality. "I hope you understand where I am coming from."

"If you’re going to say all that, at least stop sounding so polite about it," Draken laughed through gritted teeth, seething with rage. "It’s damn irritating, especially that girl."

Prophecy once told the tribe of Talmaru that a woman would bring misfortune and bring the entire secret society down. And that had almost come true during Nathalie Zorken’s time. But perhaps it was not Nathalie the elders had foreseen.

Perhaps they had been referring to Iris Bellemonte.

"Is that so?" Atlas let out a shallow breath. "So only my wife and children are safe. As for my siblings—and the rest of my family—it’s a different story."

"Hey!" Draken roared. "Stop talking like you’re going to comply."

Marceline fixed Atlas with a sharp look. "Atlas. Tell me you’re not buying this nonsense. You already let him use you, but... are you really going to trade your entire family’s lives to save your wife and children?"

The two elderly figures exhaled softly, having no more words to offer. No matter how much Atlas loved his family, he now had one of his own. And no matter what, the family he was building carried a different weight. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Fine," Atlas nodded. "Deal with them, then. Kill them if that’s what you believe is right."
