The Billionaire Twins Need A New Mommy! novel Chapter 812

Chapter 812: Shouldn’t You Be With Your Husband?

No one wasted a second rescuing every single person from the nearly collapsed safe room. With medics already in the area, they were quickly given medical attention before being transported to a larger facility in the territory.

Along with them were Lola, Penny, Kiara, and the others, who were utterly worried about the people they had rescued.

Penny paced back and forth in the hallway outside the emergency surgery rooms. She bit her thumb nervously; her mind was racing. From what she knew, all of them needed emergency attention because every single one had been severely injured.

"Gosh," she breathed out, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Even now, they’re stressing me out."

She was relieved that her family was safe. However, she still couldn’t fully relax. She had seen their condition, and it was not good.

Kiara sat on the waiting bench, running her hands down her face. When she looked up at Penny, her brows knitted together.

Earlier, they had been with Lola, but now she was missing. "Where’s First Sister?"

"Huh?" Penny snapped out of her thoughts and turned to Kiara. "I think she went... I don’t know."

Lola had definitely told them where she was going. However, both Kiara and Penny were too mentally overwhelmed to remember what she had said.

Lola should have been here, since one of the rooms was Atlas’s. He had been taken into surgery due to his injuries and blood loss. The same went for Hugo and Zoren. Even Charles required treatment, though his injuries were minor.

The duo waited nervously — and impatiently, if they were being honest. After what felt like an eternity, the lights above one door turned off. Both of them perked up and hurried over just as the doctor stepped out.

"How are they? I mean—who was inside here again?" Penny blurted, forgetting that there were multiple operating rooms beyond that door.

"I handled patients Zoren, Charles, and Hugo," the doctor replied. The subtle smile on his face was telling. "They’re fine. They inhaled a lot of dust and smoke and sustained deep wounds, but none of them were fatal."

He nodded at Penny. "They’ll be transferred to a ward later. Since we have a shortage of rooms, they’ll be sharing one. We’ll keep the number of patients in that ward minimal."

The rest of his explanation faded into the background as Penny let out a long sigh of relief.

Her relief, however, was short-lived when Kiara suddenly asked, "What about Atlas?"

Penny’s brows shot up. She looked at Kiara, then back at the doctor. The subtle smile he had worn earlier faded at the mention of Atlas.

"He’s still in surgery," the doctor said. "He was shot in a delicate part of the shoulder and lost a significant amount of blood."

Unlike the others, Atlas’s condition was far more critical.

"When my colleague comes out, he’ll update you," the doctor added, forcing a faint smile. "Try not to worry for now. The one handling his surgery is one of the best in the world. He’s doing everything he can."

In another part of the hospital, Lola and Henrik went to check on the elders who had been taken elsewhere. Because of their age, they were in critical condition. Marceline and Draken had also been brought to this wing. Even Baby required surgery.

However, the most critical of them all was Draken.

The man had multiple gunshot wounds. It was a miracle he was still alive. Baby was just as badly injured. From the looks of it, those two had acted as if their bodies were bulletproof, tanking every bullet that came their way. Then again, even if they had tried to dodge, they were simply too large of targets.

"How are the elders?" Lola asked as soon as the doctor stepped out of the emergency room. "Are they alright?"

"They inhaled too much dust and smoke," the doctor explained. "Their heart rates slowed, and their lungs are struggling."

He elaborated further, explaining that the elders were still in critical condition and needed close monitoring.
