The Billionaire’s Fight For Redemption (Noah and Sierra) novel Chapter 237

“Anyway,” Lilly drawls, stretching, “where were you headed just now?”

“Breakfast.”

“Oh good,” she claps her hands. “I’m starving, but we’re not going downstairs. We’ll just have our meal here.”

I don’t argue. Just seeing Noah earlier feels like it drained every ounce of energy from my soul.

After breakfast, Lilly changes out of her business suit into something far more comfortable. We head out to explore the city but that plan quickly derails into a full-blown shopping spree, courtesy of my best friend.

By the time we return in the evening, I’m dead on my feet.

Lilly, on the other hand, looks like she’s just getting started.

“Why did I listen to you?” I grumble, rubbing my aching legs as staff wheel in what feels like dozens of shopping bags.

“Because I’m a genius,” she says, collapsing onto the sofa.

“You’re taking this godmother role a little too seriously,” I tell her. “What am I supposed to do with all of this?”

At this rate, my baby will have more clothes and toys than I’ll know what to do with. I might have to donate half of it.

“Babies need lots of stuff,” she says matter-of-factly. “Plus, you’ll be changing them several times a day hence the many outfits.”

“I’ll be changing diapers, not clothes,” I reply flatly. “You have younger siblings. Don’t act like you don’t know this.”

“Ain’t no way my godbaby is staying in the same outfit all day,” she declares. “You will change him as many times as possible.”

“Really?” I drawl.

She narrows her eyes. “Really.”

I throw my hands up in surrender. “You know what? I give up. I’m going to take a nap.”

“Naps are good,” she says, standing. “I’ll take one too. Then we can have dinner before hitting the club.”

I stop in my tracks.
