The Billionaire’s Fight For Redemption (Noah and Sierra) novel Chapter 269

His jaw tightens, and whatever warmth I thought I’d seen in his eyes vanishes without a trace.

For a second, I think he’s about to storm out. Instead, he folds his arms across his chest, feet planted wide like he’s bracing himself for impact.

“So,” he says, his voice hardening. “This boyfriend of yours. Where did you meet him?”

I stare at him, disbelief flooding my chest.

“You came all the way here for that?” I ask. “Are you out of your mind?”

He ignores me. “Who is he?”

“Get out.”

“What’s his name? Where does he work?”

“Seriously, Noah. This is ridiculous, especially coming from you.”

“When did you start seeing him?”

“What the hell has that got to do with anything? ” I snap, stepping closer. “What has gotten into you?”

“I need to know,” he says.

I let out a sharp, incredulous laugh. “You need to know what, exactly?”

“I need to make sure he doesn’t have ulterior motives.”

“That’s bullshit,” I snap.

It’s obvious that, for whatever reason, Noah feels threatened. It’s Paris all over again with his jealousy flaring.

I don’t even think he understands what’s happening. He doesn’t realize he’s trying to keep me trapped in his shadow, where no man can have me while he still refuses to choose me himself.

“You’re pregnant,” he says, frustration bleeding through his voice. “You need to think about the baby’s safety.”

That does it. Something inside me cracks.

Is this what pregnancy hormones feel like? Because it seems like the smallest things can push me over the edge.

“I’m done having this conversation with you,” I say, my voice shaking despite my best efforts to keep it steady. “My baby is none of your concern.”

He stiffens, his hands clenching at his sides.

“He stopped being your concern,” I continue, forcing each word out, “the day you told me to abort my child.”
