The Billionaire's True Heiress From Fake Jewel to Real Crown novel Chapter 1804

Once Claire thought it through, she dropped the matter completely.

The dinner Valerie Winthrop had invited her to was pushed to this Saturday.

To Claire's surprise, Norris and Professor Warner both accepted the invitation.

It wasn't until the evening of the dinner that she learned why they had agreed.

"Mr. Winthrop extended the invitation personally," Professor Warner whispered to Claire.

Claire raised an eyebrow. Was this what a doting father looked like?

She had certainly never experienced that kind of fatherly love.

Latham wasn't exactly the type to coddle his children, and Agassi had been absent from her life.

"I guess I'm still too young to warrant a personal invitation from Mr. Winthrop."

Claire joked.

Norris tapped her gently on the head. "Nonsense."

Mr. Winthrop had previously visited the university for an event, making it the perfect opportunity to invite the professors.

Meanwhile, he hadn't had any direct contact with Claire.

If he had called her privately, it might have come across as a powerful man throwing his weight around.

So, indirectly inviting Claire was actually the more polite approach.

The three of them arrived together, though Professor Warner and Norris both drove their own cars.

Claire rode with Norris.

Whenever she went anywhere with him, he absolutely refused to let her drive.

In his eyes, a girl needed to be carefully protected.

She was the only young woman in the family. How could they not spoil her?

The restaurant they went to was understated, offering some of the best food among mid-tier establishments.

Valerie was already there, waiting for them at the entrance.

However, when Claire and Norris saw the woman standing next to her, their expressions shifted.

Honoria Beaumont's previous pursuit of Norris was no secret.

Even after being rejected, she had persistently tried to insert herself into his life.
