Tiffany's expression instantly stiffened.
Chasing celebrities?
Even if she were going to fangirl, it would be over a handsome guy like Oakley, not some young upstart like Sienna Darwin.
“If it's not about celebrities, what else could you possibly want with Karla?” Without waiting for an answer, Padgett had already deduced the truth from her expression.
“Karla's actress...”
Tiffany looked as if the words were physically painful to get out. “She had a bit of a misunderstanding with my nephew. I'm looking for Karla to see if she can help smooth things over.”
“Who is your nephew?” Ophelia asked, her curiosity piqued.
But Claire's mind flashed like lightning to one specific name—Leon Byron!
The exact guy who had egged on Sienna Darwin's cousin to harm her, and who was currently locked up in a detention center.
What a massive coincidence.
Was Tiffany seriously trying to get Sienna to let Leon off the hook?
No one would ever forgive someone who had almost gotten them killed.
Sienna was still at risk of permanent paralysis. She probably wanted to strangle Leon with her bare hands. How could she possibly let him go?
Tiffany was doomed to fail.
Setting Sienna's attitude aside, there was no way Karla would ever agree to such an unreasonable demand.
“My nephew is Leon Byron,” Tiffany said with a strained laugh.
Ophelia hadn't been keeping up with Karla's work, so she couldn't immediately grasp the grudge between Leon and Sienna.
She did have a vague impression of Leon, though. Tiffany used to brag to them about how handsome her nephew was and how he was bound to become a massive star in the entertainment industry.
Back then, Tiffany had tried to pressure Karla into signing him, but Karla had rejected the idea without a second thought.
Karla had claimed her roster was already full and she couldn't take on anyone else.
But Ophelia knew the real reason Karla had refused to sign Leon was entirely because of his connection to Tiffany.
No matter how talented Leon might have been, Karla had zero interest in inviting trouble into her life.
Besides, if Leon were truly that exceptional, he wouldn't still be a struggling nobody.
