Knowing Mina's personality, she normally hated inconveniencing others.
Cami had fully expected to have to talk her into it, but to her surprise, Mina agreed without a second thought.
"Thank you so much, and you too, Owen," Cami said sweetly.
"I'm Claire," Claire offered.
She couldn't let them keep calling her random nicknames.
Mina and Cami quickly introduced themselves as well.
The three girls hit it off almost instantly.
Before they even had a chance to leave, a black Audi tore up the mountain road.
The Audi slammed to a halt, the door flew open, and a stunning woman burst out like a whirlwind.
"Cami, are you okay?"
"Who the hell tried to intercept you?"
That loud, commanding voice—Claire recognized it immediately.
"Tilda!"
Tilda looked shocked. "Claire? What are you doing here?"
"Wait, you two know each other?" Cami hadn't expected the backup she called to be friends with the girl who had just saved them.
"Of course we do. She's one of my closest friends."
Tilda smiled and officially introduced Cami to Claire, explaining that they were cousins.
Once she heard that Claire and Owen had stepped in to help her cousin, Tilda's warmth doubled.
"Claire, thank God you were here. Otherwise..." Tilda's sharp gaze locked onto Buzz, who hadn't managed to sneak away yet.
"I'd have ripped his head right off!"
Tilda wasn't messing around.
Right then, Van finally stepped out of the driver's seat.
"What's going on?"
He was tall and stood with perfect posture, still wearing his uniform because he had rushed over so quickly.
Dressed like that, his voice alone carried massive authority.
The second Buzz saw him, he knew he had truly screwed up tonight.
He wished he could just vanish into thin air and pretend he didn't exist.
Cami knew Van, obviously well-aware that he was her cousin's boyfriend.
"Van, here's what happened..." Cami rattled off, quickly repeating the whole story.
