After all, when Matthias had taken her to the previous banquet and the tech expo, Trevor had ignored her existence from beginning to end.
As she was thinking about this, the auction started. The host took the stage, and the hall quieted down.
Celeste had already gone through the auction catalog in detail. She had her eye on a set of emerald jewelry and an embroidered painting by a renowned artist.
Which one she would actually bid on depended on the situation.
The auction began quickly.
Celeste was focused–if the item wasn’t something she wanted, she didn’t raise her paddle.
Meanwhile, neither Trevor nor Wynn had placed any bids either.
After a while, both Celeste and Lottie noticed that Wynn finally raised her paddle. She was bidding on a diamond bracelet.
It was a piece from a famous international designer, and just from the style, it was clear that the bracelet was meant for young women.
There was no doubt–this bracelet was something Trevor was buying for Wynn.
The starting bid was one and a half million. Wynn raised the paddle and immediately doubled it to three million. Other bidders followed, pushing it up to four million.
At that moment, Celeste noticed Wynn leaning toward Trevor, whispering something. Then, Wynn raised her paddle again and called out clearly in the hall, “Eight million.”
As soon as her voice rang out, the auction hall buzzed with commotion.
The bracelet was indeed a beautiful piece, but in terms of actual value, it wasn’t worth eight million. Even four million was already too much.
But Wynn seemed to really love it. And Trevor, being wealthy and extravagant, clearly didn’t want anyone else competing with Wynn–so he directly raised the bid to eight million.
Everyone was shocked–not just at how casually Trevor spent money, but also at how much he pampered Wynn.
It went just as expected. Once the eight million bid was placed, no one else dared to compete. Wynn successfully won the bracelet.
Lottie, green with envy, gritted her teeth. “This is giving me a toothache.”
Before Celeste could respond, the next round had already started.
A while later, an antique vase was brought onto the stage.
Wynn raised her paddle again.
The Starting bid was five million.
Other bidders were increasing in increments of half a million or one million. But when it was Wynn’s turn, she directly raised it to ten million.
The number of competitors immediately dropped. However the room was filled with wealthy people.

Soon, a male voice chimed in, “15 million.”
Celeste turned to look. It was a young man with striking features.
“That’s Jorge Robinson,” Lottie whispered to her.
Celeste nodded slightly.
Wynn hesitated and turned to look at Trevor..
From this, both Celeste and Lottie could tell–Wynn really wanted this vase for herself.
It was only then that Celeste suddenly recalled–her paternal grandmother, Erin Nixon, had always been passionate about collecting antiques.
It wasn’t hard to guess that Wynn was bidding on this antique vase for her.
Trevor gave a slight nod, and Wynn raised her paddle again. “25 million.”
Jorge chuckled. “30 million.”
Wynn hesitated further, leaning in closer to Trevor, seemingly saying she wanted to give up.
But Trevor shook his head.
Wynn raised her paddle once more. “40 million.”
Jorge’s voice rang out again. “50 million.” After saying this, he smiled and glanced over to Trevor’s side.
Wynn frowned and whispered to Trevor, “Maybe… We should just forget it?”
50 million was simply too much.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
